Epiphany was founded nearly three decades ago as a 'church plant' from Truro Episcopal Church (Fairfax). Years of growth and vitality formed Epiphany as a vibrant faith community in Western Fairfax County. In time, a group within the church disaffiliated itself from The Episcopal Church. A small, faithful group continued as Epiphany Episcopal Church meeting in homes and then in a local school, wor

shiping, feeding the hungry, and caring for one another. Following a property dispute finally settled by the courts, Epiphany returned to its location in 2012 at the corner of the Fairfax County Parkway and Franklin Farm Rd. Epiphany is excited to build, grow and serve the community and beyond as it shares its space, especially with the thriving Epiphany Preschool. Worship with Epiphany is held Sunday at 10:00 AM with Sunday School for preschool through elementary held during the worship service. Children start worship with their families, then join their Sunday School class after the Opening Prayer. They rejoin their families in worship to share in the Lord's Supper. Coffee fellowship is slowly reforming, in hopes to be outside once the weather is warm. High School kids are encouraged to help lead and serve in worship, and with Sunday School. We have Sunday Circle Youth Group meeting twice a month for youth ages 7th - 12th grade. Family Worship, a kid friendly worship of one hour is held the first Sunday of every month at 10:00 AM. Celtic Worship is held the second Sunday of every month at 5:30 PM. Epiphany continues to build, grow and serve as the Episcopal Church in Western Fairfax County, helping provide for a weekly Food Pantry, and every other month preparing and delivering Hot Meals in the community. Come, join Epiphany on our journey, where God loves you, no exceptions!

Dear friends in Christ –

The world awoke on Saturday to the violence of war – to attack, and retaliation, and blame, and counteraccusation. Questions were quickly asked, and assertions just as quickly made. And through it all, lives are ended, or changed forever.

We, the bishops of Virginia, ask us all to set aside partisanship in this moment and remember that the majority of those lives are often innocent ones. Children will be orphaned, spouses will be widowed, and parents will be left to bury their daughters and sons. The effects of war know no nationality, creed, religion, or family relation – death and pain strike all equally. And through it all, God weeps at the suffering.

We urge the people of the Diocese of Virginia to read and take to heart the Anglican Archbishop of Jerusalem’s pastoral letter issued Saturday morning; to heed his call to pray for peace and to anchor our hearts in the spirit of love; and to remember that as Christians we are called by Jesus himself to see those who differ from us as neighbor and not as enemy.

We urge the faith communities of this diocese to find ways to put prayer into action – to embody justice. Gather, discern, speak out, put your resources to work to call the world to the love of Jesus. These are days that demand no less.

May God be with you and yours, and with the people of the Middle East, this day and always.

The Rt. Rev’d E. Mark Stevenson

The Rt. Rev’d Gayle E. Harris

The Rt. Rev’d Mark A. Bourlakas
