Thank you to all in our community who prepared foods, provided food donations, cash donations and gave of their time. We had 21 who were provided shelter from the cold between Monday, Jan 6th - Friday, Jan 10th. We will reopen the shelter next Wednesday, Jan 15th at 6:00 pm
for another cold snap.

THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Thank you thank you Grandma Tanya, Debbie England and the wonderful people who volunteer and choose to help the community..

Today I told my kids the truth about gifts from Grandma. I told them that Grandma had a very rough childhood. She doesn't always have the means to get them something.. every year she makes sure she puts their name on the tree. At first I yelled and told her mean things. I told her we are not in need. I told her to save it for kids who really need it. My mom told me "Please Brittany, this is how I get them gifts." I can hear the pain in her voice. And instantly my heart dropped.

Some may think my kids are in need. I feel as long as we have a roof, food, clothes, each other, and LOVE then we are beyond blessed..

You should of seen their faces when I said I want to tell you about these gifts.
Grandma puts your names on a tree, Debbie and her husband started the wonderful church she put it on. Then an awesome person from the community or church picks your name and goes shopping for you. I swear their mouths dropped and they looked even happier this year about these toys. I then said, that is why we have to be nice and help others.

So thank you so much to all the people who have been able to help my babies feel the love from their Grandma. We will always pay it forward. I also am not rich and do live check to check so it does help with feeling like they got more gifts to open.

Christmas Angels: 6 left to be adopted… of 109 please pray about adopting one!!
Food Baskets: 100% covered!!!
Food Pantry: STILL NEED Drop off non-perishables at the Oak Hill Family Restaurant

PRAISING GOD this morning!!!! Last night we received a donation that completely covers our Food Baskets!!! Our hope this year was to provide fresh food and it was looking like it was going to be cans and boxes…. but God!!
