Christmas greetings to all of you ladies.
This is a festive and busy season for many people, especially as the 25th draws near. I have been contemplating a bit about on how to manage myself better, so that the insanity that can surround us, and the pressures that can overwhelm us do not cause me to lose the JOY of the reason for this Season.
In the Gospel of Luke, an angel told the Shepherds that they should not be afraid, the news he brought would bring great JOY to all people. That message is for us as well. Joy is more than a feeling, it is an attitude that exists inspite of what is going on around us. It can keep our hearts light, our minds unburdened, and give us the ability to share this joy with those around us. This can happen just by smiling and saying thank you. Any interaction is a opportunity to spread this joy to others, and also enable us to more thoroughly enjoy this special, blessed time of year.
So that is our goal. To bring the world around us the joy that the birth of our Savior offers to all people.
How GREAT our JOY!
🎄❤😊

Hello Ladies...
It's been a while since I last posted something on our page.
Lately I've been thinking alot about the upcoming season and decided that it would be fun for our minds and profitable for our hearts to propose a new challenge for the month of November. So, here it is..
1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18 says, 'Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.'
These are our verses for the 30 days of November. The Apostle Paul was emphatic about the importance of consistent prayer and remaining in an attitude of thanksgiving. We are focusing on prayer with our study of Circle Maker. What I am proposing is a daily recording of what we are thankful for. Whether you write the words in your devotional guide along with of your prayers, or post them on your Facebook timeline so others can be encouraged , the idea is to keep your words of thankfulness in the forefront of our minds. It is part of the process of transforming our lives into the image of Christ.
It is also a fact that people adopt a new habits after 3 weeks of consistent practice of the new behavior.
So, go forth and be THANKFUL for
30 Days of Thanksgiving!!!! 🦃 🍁🍗❤

I enjoyed a conversation with some ladies this morning. Nothing in particular or special, just a friendly, relaxing chat.(All of us could use a little more of this type of thing. 😉) One of the ladies shared an experience where someone tried to 'con' her into giving a sizeable amount of money by pretending to be a relative. A second lady went on to describe a similar situation that had happened to her. Thankfully, neither lady was taken in by the perpetrators.
This conversation reminded me of the fact that there are many things, people, activities which look appealing at first glance, but are in fact a danger to our trust and faith in Jesus Christ. Scripture tells us to be alert, always keeping watch for those things that would decieve and draw us away from a life lived for the glory of God, not ourselves. This shows the necessity of time spent becoming more familiar with the wisdom of Scripture. It is timeless and will never lead us away from God.
Have a great weekend.

Hello ladies,
I hope you have enjoyed the weekend and are feeling ready for another week. There are so many things that we can focus on to energize us when we seem to be losing steam. For me, time spent outside is always a way to peel off the layers of 'stuff' that have been sapping me of energy and a positive attitude. One thing to remember is that WE have control of our attitudes and have nothing to blame but ourselves when we feel grumpy.
Here's to another great week letting our 'lights shine' for Jesus.
Remember - no Study this week! BBQ instead!

Good Morning Ladies!
Our gathering seemed to have a life of its own this week. We took a different path than what was expected. I think that there was a purpose to it, just the same. There was good, open discussion of topics and situations that affect our daily lives, but are rarely discussed among believers. That is what this group is about: open, honest sharing of the hard things we experience AND finding love, support, and some healing without judgement.
The Greek word Koinonia means fellowship and love on a deep level. As women of God in these times, we need that! No matter if we spend our time in study, in prayer, or in sharing, God will use the time.
Unity. Love. Strength. Those are the words that have been in my heart and mind since Tim and I began this transition journey. It is another measure of Gods understanding of his children that these words describe what Trinity Wesleyan Church in Oak Hill is in need of right now. All of us need to be in prayer with open minds and hearts to grasp what the Lord wants for us. That's our mission right now.
As we begin going through Proverbs a second time, try to read it in a different translation, if that is a possibility., We can sense a deeper understanding if we do that. There are 31 chapters and 30 days in September. Timing of this is less important than what God brings to our attention. So, have at it!
Let me know what you think.

Happy Monday ladies!
It is a sticky day out there!
We are into our 3rd week of our study in Proverbs, and I am eager to hear what you have learned, sensed or have begun to apply to your lives. I look forward to Wednesday! Come prepared with something to share!

Happy Wednesday ladies! I am excited to see what the Lord has brought to your hearts and minds this week.
Don't forget that we meet at 6:30 tonight, same plce as last time.
I wouldn't mind if we outgrew our space though!
😄

Good evening ladies.
A thought occurred to me this evening. I believe that we need to add another element to our study of Proverbs. We have, so far, been reading these amazing chapters that we have found to be of great wisdom and value. But we are called to be so much more than just readers of God's word. So, I would encourage you to ask God to help you to think of ways to begin applying a particular passage, which you have found especially meaningful. What changes do you need to make in this particular part of your life in order to see the transformation of your heart, mind or spirit? The goal is that you could become a living example of God's desires for our lives. We may not accomplish all in this life, but the time would well spent.
We will discuss this further on Wednesday. 😊

Thank you ladies for a wonderful, enriching time tonight! Thanks to all who attended! Pass the word along to others who may not be on FB, or haven't been in Church recently.
Remember, we need to be prepared with wisdom of the Scriptures so that God will be able to use us to meet the needs of our communities! Our word is WISDOM.

Good Morning Ladies!
Just a reminder that we will be meeting tonight at 6:30. We gather first in the foyer and decide from there where we'll go.
Come ready to share and have some fun.

Good Morning Ladies!
What a glorious Monday it is!
I am looking forward to our time together on Wednesday at 6:30. We will meet in the foyer at church and decide on where to go from there. If you know of anyone that doesn't have FB, but would
like to join us, share the news. 😎

Good Morning ladies!
How are you doing with the reading?
Moving activities yesterday has put me behind, but I have LOTS of driving time in the truck today to catch up!
1 impression so far... many of the directives that are put forth in Proverbs are SIMPLE, but not always easy.
Let me know what you are thinking, and maybe applying to your lives!
