My Monday morning advice for what it is worth. Relationships are not always what they are cracked up to be. First put effort into knowing God by picking up a Bible and reading a little. Pray and ask God to reveal Himself to you and do this again tomorrow. God will answer prayers, trust me I use to be a sceptic until I had no choice but to cry out to God for help. He will pick you up the same way He did me! Look for a friend in Jesus and He will add positive friendships in your life.

As we approach the holidays, I ponder how to make my home a place where people can see Christ more easily.

Small children who need small bites of food and one more story.

Teens who rage with hormones and moods but still need a cup of thoughtfulness and a few cookies prepared on their behalf.

My adult children, hungry for a familiar taste of home and family.

My weary husband, who needs patience and compassion served along with a favorite treat.

My friends and neighbors and even the random stranger who needs somewhere to be over the holidays.

I want my home to be a place where, through the giving of hospitality and love, the Lord Jesus Christ becomes incarnate.

The older I get, the more I see that the age-old traditions, the rituals of life that remind us who we are, what our roots and heritage have been, bind us to a faith that will be passed down through generations.

How can you make your home a place of welcome and rest, where people see Christ?
