COUNTRYFEST 2014 - SEPTEMBER 5,6,7
EVENT INFORMATION
CountryFest is a fun-filled fall festival that is held every year at St. Patrick's. On the first weekend after the Labor Day holiday, our church grounds take on a carnival atmosphere as the entire community gathers to celebrate.
CountryFest brings together our parishioners—young and old—as well as our fellow community members for a weekend of fellowship, fun, volunteerism, food, and worship.
It’s an opportunity to connect with old friends and meet new ones. It’s a time to get to know the community of St. Patrick's. And it’s also a good chance to give back to our church community through the support of donations and by helping out to make our festival a success.
~NEW THIS YEAR~
CountryFest RibFest on Saturday evening. This will be a contest with prizes for the best ribs. Contestant entry fee is $50: Ribs and a place in the south parking lot provided to set up your cooker. To sign up, please contact Chad Lashinski at 612.991.7004 (please note number change).
Friday night’s teen dance kicks off the event, and is followed on Saturday and Sunday by a full schedule of games and entertainment for kids and kids-at-heart, live music, great food, a silent auction, car show, Farmer’s Market, raffle, a quilt auction, and much more. And of course, there is the opportunity to celebrate Mass at our regularly scheduled times on Saturday at 5:00 PM and Sunday morning at 9:00 and 11:00 AM. Stick around on Saturday evening, and there are fireworks at 9:15 PM.
Many volunteers are needed to make our annual CountryFest possible. From the initial planning stages to the final clean-up, hundreds of volunteer hours need to be filled. It is an effort that calls on our entire St. Patrick's community to get involved. Please consider how you can offer your time, talent, and treasure for our CountryFest.
Volunteers on the CountryFest Planning Committee work on the various sub-committees of CountryFest, including Administration, Entertainment, Games, Grounds and the Raffle. The planning committee generally does not meet November through January; however, the rest of the year planning activities are underway to ensure a successful parish festival and to address concerns expressed during the previous event.
