-On May 1, 2026 a Bible was placed at the Oak City town commons and it was asked for anyone to stop by read out loud. Only Revelation 22 remains. Reading of the most Holy Word God honors His Word and have no doubt God will show great and mighty things as His Word has gone forth in our community.
-Sunday, August 16th at 5:30pm all are invited to gather around the table where the Bible has been kept under the shelter in the town commons. We will read Revelation 22 together and pray over completion of the reading of His Word. We will then make our way to Oak City Christian Church to participate in Praise & Worship at 6 pm.
-If you are not able to join us at 5:30, we welcome you to P&W service at 6pm @ Oak City Christian Church.

Church was never meant to make spectators out of worshippers.

Billy Graham put it simply:

“Worship isn’t supposed to be entertainment.”

And that goes far beyond music.

Worship is not something we watch.
It is not something performed for us.
And it is not measured by how entertained, impressed, or emotionally moved we feel.

Worship is our response to who God is.

It is praise.
It is prayer.
It is obedience.
It is surrender.
It is offering our lives to God.

That’s why Paul wrote:

“Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
— Romans 12:1

Entertainment asks, “What did I get?”

Worship asks, “What can I give to the One who is worthy?”

We were never meant to be the audience.

God is.

And worship begins when the attention moves away from us and returns to Him.
