FBCO senior adults blessed nearly 350 O’Fallon residents in three local assisted care facilities this winter by giving them “Blessings Bags” to show them the love of Christ.
The bags contained eyeglass cleaners, hand lotion, notepads, tissue packages, Christian bookmarks, and/or other personal care items.
Members of Adult 6A, Adult 8 Early, and the Ladies Serving Together ministry assembled 345 bags, which were then given to residents at Delmar Gardens O’Fallon, Garden View Care Center, and The Meadowlands.
FBCO lay leaders and members regularly lead Bible studies and worship services at these locations. The bags were given to all residents — whether or not they attended the meetings — to remind them they are not forgotten.
FBCO member Gayle Conrad leads the every other Sunday worship service at Garden View.
She said, “the residents do not get this kind of attention, and it always puts a smile on their faces.”
Volunteers distributed the gifts at Valentine’s Day and before Easter.
Contact Pastor Brandon Kiesling if you’d like more information about how to serve with one of these ongoing missions opportunities.

Today, our first international mission team for 2026 begins a long travel day to serve our ministry partners in Scotland.
We will have separate groups serving in two Scottish villages: Stranraer and Girvan.
With a population slightly smaller than Missouri’s, over half of Scotland now identifies as secular.
There is a massive opportunity for our teams to step into their communities, show the heart of Christ, and see lives transformed.
Pray to that end, and for safety for our travelers going there and coming back.

This past Monday, nine members of the adult 6B LIFE group traveled to Butler, IL to serve Love Packages (an FBCO ministry partner), which recycles new and used Bibles and Christian resources to overseas ministries.
Before departing, the class prayed over materials they had processed. On Tuesday some of those resources were headed to Christians, pastors, and missionaries in Nigeria.
Every year Love Packages ships over 2,000 tons of donated materials from individuals, churches, and publishers to ministries around the world at no cost to the ministries.

Members of the Adult 6A LIFE group blessed residents and staff of Garden View Care Center in O’Fallon last Sunday with gift packages and cupcakes.
Class members Gayle Conrad and Linda Ley provide a devotional and sing-a-long every other Sunday at Garden View.
This past week Suzanne Smith organized other class members in putting together gift sacks of personal care items for the approximately 85 residents. Staff received cupcakes.
