Good News 2Rivers Church!
Please take a look at this update from MoDot!

ST. CHARLES COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has reopened the Interstate 64 North Outer Road/Technology Drive bridge at Dardenne Creek Tuesday, June 2. The outer road and bridge were closed in August 2025 for a bridge replacement.

This project was a joint effort between the City of O'Fallon, Great Rivers Greenway, and MoDOT. The reconstruction effort included a 12-foot-wide shared use path facility across the bridge structure. Construction continues on the planned 10-foot path sections connected to the parking lot area, existing paths and future path extensions by the City of O’Fallon. This connection is a vital part of the overall regional connectivity for Great Rivers Greenway through St. Charles County with ultimate connectivity planned to the Katy Trail.

The new bridge and outer road elevation were raised 5-6 feet to move the structure further out of the floodplain of Dardenne Creek.

This weekend, we were reminded from Ephesians 4:25-32 that spiritual drift often starts with the things we tolerate—bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, and unhealthy patterns that slowly pull us away from the life God wants for us.

The good news? Jesus offers healing, freedom, and a new way forward.

If you're working through hurts, habits, hang-ups, or simply looking for a place to take your next step, Celebrate Recovery is here for you. You don't have to do it alone.

Freedom is possible. Jesus is still changing lives. ❤️

What if something as simple as a pair of eyeglasses could open the door for someone to experience the love of Jesus?

This upcoming Mexico mission trip is an opportunity to serve people in a deeply practical and powerful way through an eyeglass clinic that meets real needs while sharing lasting hope. During a typical three-day clinic, teams serve between 500–1,000 people and distribute hundreds of pairs of glasses. Even more incredible, many people respond to the gospel — with 100–200 individuals often indicating a decision to follow Jesus Christ.

Time and time again, local pastors have shared how these clinics help break down barriers in their communities. Doors that once felt closed become open as people experience genuine care, generosity, and compassion without expecting anything in return. As physical needs are met, hearts become open to hearing the good news of Jesus.

Whether you have medical experience or not, there’s a place for you on this trip. Team members will help with registration, vision checks, fitting glasses, and encouraging and praying with those attending the clinic. Every role matters, and every conversation is an opportunity to point someone toward hope in Christ.

This is more than a mission trip — it’s a chance to be part of life change!

It's not about raised hands or memorized scriptures. The real evidence of the Spirit in your life is seen in how deeply you are transformed in the way you treat people. Are we showing genuine care, or just putting on a facade?

What is the greatest threat to your spiritual life isn't the sin you can see...but the attitudes you've learned to tolerate?

Bitterness.
Unresolved anger.
Harsh words.
A hardened heart.

We can carry all of it while still looking spiritually mature on the outside.

This Sunday, we're in Ephesians 4: 25-32 where Paul gets uncomfortably practical about these relational issues and what is actually looks like to stop grieving the Holy Spirit and start reflecting the character of Christ.

Because you can't pursue the presence of the Spirit while resisting the character the Spirit is trying to produce in you.
