Cultivating Faith Nationwide: Jason Noland Receives the 2026 National Duty to God Award
Scouting America is proud to recognize Jason R. Noland as a recipient of the 2026 National Duty to God Award. This honor distinguishes those who work selflessly to prepare youth for life by perpetuating the legacy of a Scout’s duty to their Creator.
With over 18 years of service to the movement, Jason’s impact spans from local units in the Greater St. Louis Area Council to critical national leadership. As the CEO of P.R.A.Y. (Programs of Religious Activities with Youth), he has spent nearly a decade equipping millions of Scouts and non-Scouts with the resources and emblems needed to grow in their faith.
A member of St. Joseph Church in St. Charles, MO, Jason's faith is the "engine" that drives his "servant’s heart". Beyond his professional role, he serves as the Chair of the National Emblems and Literature Sub-committee, where he meticulously ensures that religious emblems for all faith groups are age-appropriate and meaningful. Jason also serves on his council’s Religious Relationships Committee.
A recipient of the Baptist Good Shepherd and Catholic St. George Awards, Jason is widely respected as a bridge-builder, working tirelessly with diverse traditions to help them find footing in sharing their foundations with youth and adults. Whether teaching courses at Philmont or mentoring volunteers, Jason breathes life into the Scout Law.
Please join us in celebrating Jason Noland for his profound dedication to the spiritual lives of Scouting youth across the nation.
