JUNETEENTH: Celebrating Freedom & Hope

Today we honor Juneteenth, the day on June 19, 1865, when U.S. federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and ensured that enslaved African Americans were informed of and granted their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

As we remember this significant moment in our nation's history, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the enduring hope for justice and equality for all people.

May we continue to learn from the past, honor the dignity of every person, and work together toward a more just and compassionate world.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR VBS! ☀️📖🎶

Cornerstone UMC is preparing for an exciting Vacation Bible School, July 13–16 from 9a to Noon, and we need your help!

There are many ways to serve, including greeting families, leading groups, helping with crafts, games, music, snacks, storytelling, AV, nursing, and more. Youth entering 6th grade and above are also invited to help!

Please sign up on the bulletin board outside the church office or email [email protected] with your volunteer preferences.

Thank you for helping make VBS a fun, welcoming, and faith-filled experience for our children & community!

Gather together on Sunday, July 5, 2026, as we warmly welcome Cornerstone UMC's new pastor, Rev. Ryan Hebel, and the Hebel family.

This will be Rev. Hebel's first Sunday preaching at the 9a Classic worship and 11a Modern worship. We invite you to be part of this special day.

Help us extend a warm Cornerstone welcome and introduce the Hebel family to our church and community as they begin this new chapter of ministry.
