Join us this Sunday for a sermon from our Youth and Family Minister, Wyatt Lenhart!
Scripture: Acts 2:42-47
Message: "From the Front Door to the Living Room"
For years, the great challenge of the church was getting people through the door. But the landscape has shifted. Research shows that young people are returning to faith in surprising numbers. They are curious, seeking, and showing up. The challenge for the church today is no longer attraction. It is what happens next.
Drawing from the picture of the early church in Acts 2, we will examine three essentials that made the first followers of Jesus both compelling and contagious: community, service, and discipleship.
Real community isn't just showing up on Sunday. Community is doing life together, bound not by common interests but by a common Jesus. Radical service isn't just moral behavior, it's love with skin on, motivated by what God has already done for us. Discipleship isn't just a class or a curriculum; it is a culture, built through intentional, relational investment in one another.
The front door of the church has moved. It's no longer the Sunday morning entrance; it's the living room. The people are coming. What are we going to do when they show up?
Blessings,
Wyatt Lenhart
