FJC - Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS - FSU Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS (FJC) The FJC, at all times, strives to develop and maintain good working relations with members of other faiths.

The Federation of Jewish Communities (FJC) was established in November 1998 to revive the Jewish communities of the Former Soviet Union . We provide humanitarian aid and Jewish education, organize cultural events and religious services, and help develop Jewish communities and rebuild Jewish institutions. Our main bureau represents member interests on the international front, and we also represent

community members in government and institutional forums. Since its launch we have posted over ninety rabbis and countless community leaders in central locations, and have been recognized as an umbrella organization that represents and administers a variety of established funds and institutions that operate in the region. 110 Jewish Ukrainian Teens Celebrate Bar and Bat Mitzvah Milestone at EnerJew Retreat

Bar and Bat Mitzvah boys and girls from across Ukraine gathered for a moving four-day retreat in the Carpathian Mountains, marking the conclusion of a special year-long preparation program organized by EnerJew, the FJC’s Jewish youth movement in the FSU. The seminar, held at the Belle-Royal Hotel in a peaceful mountain setting, brought together 110 young graduates of the Bar and Bat Mitzvah course for a long weekend of Jewish learning, friendship, celebration, and personal growth.

Kremenchuk: Ancient Restored Torah Scroll Returns to Jewish Community

An inspiring event recently took place in the Jewish Community of Dnipro, Ukraine, with the completion of the restoration of an ancient Torah Scroll belonging to the Jewish community of Kremenchuk. Following extensive professional restoration work carried out at the National Sofer Center in Dnipro, the restored Torah Scroll was officially presented to a delegation from the Jewish community of Kremenchuk, headed by its leader, Chief Rabbi Shlomo Salamon.
