Our congregation was established in 1907 by men who wanted to do things strictly by the Bible. By only teaching the word of God, men and women were being saved and added to the Lord's body Acts 2;38-47. Elders and deacons were approved by the congregation according to the qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-9. They followed the pattern set forth only in the New Testament but believed
the whole Bible is the inspired word of God. They taught that one must have faith by hearing the word of God Romans 10:17, that one should repent Acts 2:38, and confess that they believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God Acts 8:37, and for the forgiveness of their sins and put on Christ, one should be baptized by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4, Gal 3:27, and Matt. 28:19. The met every Lord's day and sang with no musical instruments but their voices and hearts Eph 5:19, they took communion and remembered the Lord's death 1 Cor 11:23-26, gave as they were prospered 1 Cor 16:2, prayed together James 5:16, and spoke the oracles of God 1 Peter 4:11. Some 100 years later we still follow the same scriptures and rely upon the same pattern to save all men. The scriptures teach us the Jesus is the Word John 1:1 and that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. To us as Christians, even though the world around us has changed, and so have mans ideas, the Word, Jesus Christ has not. Come and learn more about us by studying and worshiping with us.
