As you go about your weekend think about what this day and every day cost. Men and women have laid down their lives for the freedoms we have.
Let us also remember the ultimate freedom we have in Jesus. In Him is where all freedom begins. When Jesus sacrificed Himself, He paid to free us from sin, anger, pain. He freed us to become the men and women God designed us to be from creation.

Father, thank you for the freedom you have given us through your Son. Thank you for putting men and women who so loved their nation and its citizens that they to willingly fought to protect them. Thank you for those who gave some, even more so for those that gave all. God bless and comfort the family and friends of those who gave all. Lord give us wisdom to continue to strive for a more perfect nation rooted in You and Your word. Give our elected representatives wisdom to discern good from evil. Giving them a heart for you. Thank you for all you have done for us.
