The Islamic Center of North Marin (ICNM) is a welcoming house of God for Muslims and friends in North Marin.

We are a small, diverse community promoting the Muslim way of life through worship, service, and community gatherings. Islamic Center of North Marin(ICNM) was established in 2007 as a nonprofit, religious, educational and cultural center. Popularly known as ICNM, has facilities for performing Salat in congregation, Weekend Islamic Classes, Charity services, Marriage services and Quranic & Arabic

tutoring. We intially started from Garrage and transformed to small building located off H-101 accommodating 75 people combined brothers and sisters. ICNM is now located at 7078 Redwood Blvd, Novato CA 94945. The Masjid services the Muslim community in North Marin. The primary mission of ICNM is to provide a focus of activities for Muslims living in Novato, San Rafael, Larkspur, Corte Madera and other surrounding suburban areas in order for them to organize religious, educational, and social life of their community in the light of Islamic teachings and traditions. The Masjid also serves as an information resource by providing an understanding of Islam as a faith, as a religion, and as a way of life.

EID AL-FITR PRAYER & CELEBRATION

* Eid Celebration begins at 8:00am (with Takbirat and then prayer at 8:30am)
* Eid Khutbah by Imam Abdesalam Rezouki
* Potluck breakfast, snacks, and refreshments.
* Parking off-site in the neighborhood. Please be respectful of our neighbors.
* EID CELEBRATION DINNER at 6:30pm Food will be catered. All are welcome!
🅿️ Please arrive early to find proper parking, do not park in front of our neighbor's business, and do not block entry and exit in our parking lot.

ZAKAT AL-FITR
ICNM is collecting Zakat al-Fitr to distribute to needy families on Eid day by our ICNM Charity Fund Team. The required amount to pay is $12 per family member, and it must be paid before the Eid prayer (8:30am). You can make a payment with the masjid team, or donate now online at https://www.icnmcharityfund.org/.

RAMADAN IFTAR OPEN HOUSE
Come break bread with your Muslim neighbors

Tuesday, March 10th, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

An open house welcoming our neighbors and community friends to our mosque (masjid). We invite you to experience the beauty of the holy month of Ramadan, observe or participate in Muslim prayer, and share in a delicious “iftar,” the dinner that breaks the fast at sunset. It would be our honor to host you.

The event is free, and all are warmly welcome.

MOON NOT SIGHTED TUESDAY:
Ramadan starts the night of Feb. 18 (fast on Feb. 19)

ICNM in collaboration with the Central Hilal Committee of North America did not receive any reports of the new crescent moon (hilal) of Ramadan being sighted anywhere in North America on the evening of Tuesday, February 17th. (For more info visit: https://www.hilalcommittee.org)

We will thus complete the 30 days of Sha’ban and begin Ramadan and Tarawih prayers on Wednesday evening with the first day of the fast on Thursday, Feb. 19th.

RAMADAN IS COMING: Starting the night of Feb. 17 or 18, depending on moonsighting.
================

ICNM begins Islamic months based on the prophetic sunnah of moonsighting. Please look for the new moon on Tues, Feb. 17th.

We will await the results of moon-sighting efforts in North America and will follow the final announcement made by the Central Hilal Committee of North America (CHC). For more info and updates visit www.hilalcommittee.org.

We will make a final announcement regarding the start of Ramadan as early as possible, but no later than Tuesday, 7:00pm PT.

💰 ZAKAT AL-FITR

ICNM is collecting Zakat al-Fitr for distribution to needy families on Eid day by our ICNM Charity Fund Team.
- Payment of Zakat al-Fitr is an obligation on every Muslim at the end of Ramadan. Parents usually pay on behalf of each child.
- The recommended amount is $10 per family member and it must be paid before the Eid prayer (8:30am).
- You can make a payment at the masjid, or pay now online here: https://icmarin.org/zakat (select Zakat al-Fitr).
- If you have outstanding Zakat pledges you can pay them at that link as well.
