JEWISH HATRED
Then on the thirteenth day of the first month the royal secretaries were summoned. They wrote out in the script of each province and in the language of each people all Haman’s orders to the king’s satraps, the governors of the various provinces and the nobles of the various peoples. These were written in the name of King Xerxes himself and sealed with his own ring. Dispatches were sent by couriers to all the king’s provinces with the order to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews—young and old, women and children—on a single day, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar, and to plunder their goods… The couriers went out, spurred on by the king’s command, and the edict was issued in the citadel of Susa. The king and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Susa was bewildered. ---Esther 3:12-13,15
There are those who simply hate Jewish people because of pride. This was the case with Haman when Mordecai would not bow to him. Haman burned with anger and his anger moved him to devise a plan that would destroy, not only Mordecai, but all of the Jewish people in King Xerxes’ domain. Haman manipulated the king by telling him that---
“There is a certain people dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom who keep themselves separate. Their customs are different from those of all other people, and they do not obey the king’s laws; it is not in the king’s best interest to tolerate them. 9If it pleases the king, let a decree be issued to destroy them, and I will give ten thousand talents of silver to the king’s administrators for the royal treasury.” ---Esther 3:8-9
What was the result of Haman’s manipulation of the king? “So the king took his signet ring from his finger and gave it to Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews” (Esther 3:10). And so---

Targeting Jewish people to annihilate is nothing new. There are those manipulated by Satan (II Timothy 2:26) who would seek their destruction. The same demonic spirit that sought the destruction of the Jewish people in Esther’s day is the same one who seeks to destroy the Jewish people today in their country or anywhere in the world. We see the same demonic spirit here in America as well as there are those who would also seek to destroy Jewish people.
I remember 61 years ago, when I was 10 years old, there was a group of older boys picking on a Jewish boy who was somewhat older than me. It ticked me off and I told them, with boldness that wasn’t me, to leave him alone. They did and I was somewhat surprised that they did not turn their attention on me. But they just stopped. The same demonic spirit was guiding children at a young age to be anti-Jewish. How sad.
Dear Father, I thank You that You have the final say in any situation. I thank You for the Jewish people and for having Jesus come through that line. Now, may I be faithful to You in whatever You desire of me and may it be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
