| St. Joe Parish in South Bend, Indiana, and Immaculate Conception Parish in Haiti have shared a relationship of prayer, friendship, and solidarity since 2018. The two communities regularly pray for one another during intercessory prayers at Mass and in other moments of communal prayer. They recently formalized their relationship through the Twinning Program, by becoming official Twinning Partners.

Thank you to both communities for continuing to encounter one another across borders and keep each other in prayer.

Happy Father's Day to all fathers—whether spiritual, biological, adoptive—from the Holy Cross Mission Center!

Fathers are entrusted with the profound responsibility of guiding and protecting the lives placed in their care. Living this mission calls for steady strength, faithful presence, and a love that gives of itself in generous and enduring ways.

Today, we honor fathers everywhere and give thanks for the ways they reflect God’s care through their leadership, sacrifice, and devotion. We invite you to join us in praying for them—that they may be strengthened in their calling, filled with wisdom, and sustained by God’s grace in all they do.

| The Notre Dame Magnificat Choir recently took part in a pilgrimage and tour to Peru, to share music and faith with local communities, support and learn about the missions, and grow in understanding of Peruvian culture and song, including learning traditional Peruvian music. While there, they visited the Congregation’s Parroquia El Señor de la Esperanza (Lord of Hope Parish) and participated in service activities. The Holy Cross Mission Center was pleased to connect the choir with our Peruvian ministries and to facilitate their pre-immersion preparations and reflections.

We invite all student immersion participants from the past year to consider applying to the Holy Cross Missions Student Essay Contest: studentessaycontest.holycrossmissions.org

| On June 12, 1978, Br. André Bessette, C.S.C., was declared Venerable by Pope Paul VI. He was later canonized in 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI.

Born Alfred Bessette, St. André was originally denied admittance into the Congregation of Holy Cross due to his frail health, and once admitted was assigned to the humble job of door-keeping at Notre Dame College in Montreal, due to his health and lack of education. He was devoted to prayer, which in turn led him to pray with visitors when he heard of their ailments. Many people experienced physical healing after he prayed for them. According to some estimates, over 10,000 people experienced significant healing due to his prayers during the last 30 years of his life.

Now, his memory lives on in many ways around the world, including through the St. André Bessette Health Clinic in Bugembe, Uganda, whose motto, like St. André himself, points back to the true Healer: "We treat, God heals."

St. André Bessette, whose union with God bore life-changing fruit in the lives of others, pray that we might be as devoted to prayer and as willing to allow the Spirit to uniquely work through us to love others!

"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light." - Matthew 11:28-30

Tomorrow we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart Jesus. Come to Him and find rest.
