| On June 1, 2001, the cause for Beatification of the Servant of God Patrick Peyton (C.S.C.) was introduced, nearly nine years after his death on June 3, 1992. Fr. Peyton was well known for his love of the Rosary and of Mary, and for calling families around the world to prayer. He has since been declared Venerable by Pope Francis in 2017.

Venerable Patrick Peyton, pray for us!

| One of Holy Cross’s ministries in San Juan de Lurigancho is Colegio Fe y Alegría no. 25, a school that educates students from preschool through high school. In recent years, it has become an annual tradition for members of the senior class to work together to build houses for two of the most impoverished families in the school community through the financial support of the Holy Cross Mission Center. Recently around 120 students participated in the project, which included hauling materials up steep hills and assembling and painting the houses.

| Sharing snapshots of life is an important part of building relationships between Twinning partners, helping Holy Cross ministries stay connected across the globe. The following photos were shared by Fr. Dan Panchot, C.S.C., Associate Pastor of San Roque parish in Chile, for the parish’s Twinning partner, Lund Family Hall at the University of Portland . These snapshots show the vibrant life of the parish as they care for the elderly, wash feet during the Holy Thursday liturgy, and express gratitude for their Twinning partner in Portland, Oregon.

"Brothers and sisters: No one can say, 'Jesus is Lord,' except by the Holy Spirit.

"As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body,
so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit."
- 1 Corinthians 12:3b, 12-13

Happy Pentecost from the Holy Cross Mission Center! May the same Spirit Who filled the disciples on the day of the Church's birth fill us anew today, empowering us to share God's love and Word in all our spheres, and drawing us closer together as one body in Christ.

Come, Holy Spirit!

| On this day in 1853, Holy Cross priests, brothers, and sisters arrived in Calcutta, then located in the British-controlled Indian province of Bengal. Thus began the Congregation of Holy Cross’s Mission to Bangladesh. Today the Congregation in Bangladesh is proud to have more than 150 finally professed priests and brothers, 98% of whom are from Bangladesh.

We thank the Lord for all the men and women who have worked and continue to work to make God known, loved, and served wherever He calls them!

The second photo shows Rev. Promod Rozario, C.S.C., (who was a deacon when the photo was taken) experiencing, in his own words, "A joyful moment in ministry with lovely children at Gandhi Gao village, Mariamnagr Parish, Mymensingh."

| Students from Campus Ministry at Stonehill College took part in the H.O.P.E. Service Immersion Program over their winter break this academic year. Their immersion took them to Mexico, where they visited Nuestra Madre Santísima de La Luz in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, a Holy Cross parish. While there, they engaged closely with parishioners, including children and the elderly, and stayed with the local Holy Cross community.
