Did you know that Fred McFeely Rogers, a.k.a. Mister Rogers of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, was an ordained Presbyterian minister? After graduating from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, he was commissioned by the United Presbyterian Church of the U.S.A. (UPCUSA) to continue his ministry through children's television programming.

Mr. Rogers went on to revolutionize children’s TV, becoming a quintessential childhood figure in the lives and hearts of millions. Today we celebrate his memory and legacy. Happy Mr. Rogers Day!

Beloved Church Family,

With tender hearts and deep gratitude for a life faithfully lived, we share the news that Judy, our dear sister in Christ and a devoted servant of this church, has entered her eternal rest in the Lord.

Judy served among us with quiet strength, steadfast love, and a heart that always sought to glorify God. Whether through her acts of kindness, her willingness to help, or her faithful presence in worship and caring ministry, she blessed our congregation in ways that will not be forgotten.

As we grieve her passing, we also give thanks for the promise of our faith—that Judy is now held in the everlasting arms of God, welcomed into the joy and peace of her Savior. Please keep Jenny and her family in your prayers, so that the comfort of Christ and the companionship of the Holy Spirit may surround them in the days ahead.

May the God of all compassion be near to us as we remember Judy with love and gratitude.

In Christ,
Pastor Timothy

In the days following the State of the Union, join the Office of Public Witness for a nonpartisan Prayer Service. In a time of deep division and the ongoing war with Iran, we gather to lament violence, pray for our leaders and neighbors, and seek a just peace among nations. Grounded in Scripture and shaped by our Reformed call to public witness, we come not as citizens of one country, but as disciples whose hope is in God alone. All are welcome. Come pray, seek peace, and be renewed as instruments of Christ’s love.
