Join us for a joyful Music Sunday as we celebrate the music we love and recognize the many contributions of our Religious Education volunteers and staff. Our choir and Music Director will lead a morning of inspiring music and reflections on the joy that music brings to our lives. Children and youth are invited to bring a favorite stuffed animal from home to participate in the service with us.
During coffee hour, we will also be collecting gently used children's books for the South Shore YMCA.

Unitarian Universalism is a church of “deeds, not creeds,” which means a big part of our focus is on social justice, community, and personal spiritual curiosity. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have any shared beliefs! We are guided by six values and united by love at their center. Those values formed the basis of our children’s program this year at First Parish of Norwell. From picture books and plays to Lego stop motion animation to discussions of old Twilight Zone episodes, kids of all ages explored what it means to value justice, equity, transformation, pluralism, interdependence and generosity. Here are the art projects they made to wrap up our curriculum!

Beginning in September, we’ll spend next year learning about faith traditions like Buddhism, Judaism, Paganism, Islam, Christianity, Daoism, and Hinduism. If you want your child to learn with us, we would love to welcome them!

And if you have been looking for a community rooted in social justice that encourages freedom of religious thought and the love of learning, we would love to meet you.

You can help prevent summer learning loss by dropping off your books for children of all ages (board books through teen novels) to First Parish of Norwell on Sunday June 7th from 11am-noon. Feel free to have some coffee and snacks and play on the playground when you stop by, or just drop off and go. We appreciate your donations!

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH! We’re remembering with joy and empathy and heartache the ceremony we had in October honoring and thanking those who have fought for q***r rights, past and present. That was a great kickoff to a year filled with education, celebration, advocacy, and solidarity with the LGBTQIA community. We were so pleased to host a Transgender Day of Remembrance vigil, a screening of the Ware Lecture on transgender allyship, a panel from SpeakOut Boston, an outreach collection and service project for SpeakOut Boston, a charitable Easter egg hunt featuring donations for SShAGLY, and monthly Side With Love overpass gatherings to spread messages of positivity and inclusion across the South Shore. We are so thankful for our dedicated and active LGBTQ Justice Action Team as well as participation from our loving congregation and the greater community.

Come celebrate pride month with us on June 14 with a worship service exploring the sacredness of love at the center of our values and a Pride Picnic afterwards. Or stop by and see us at the Halifax, Hanover, and Plymouth pride events throughout the month! All are welcome!

Trinity Sunday, celebrated on the Sunday after Pentecost, honors the Christian understanding of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Its observance became widespread in the Middle Ages and was officially established for the Western Church in the 14th century. Today, many Christians mark the day through special worship services, prayers, hymns, and reflection on the themes of unity, love, and community.
