The awardwinning vocals and musicianship of Tina Haase Findlay have made their mark across the musical spectrum; including jazz, blues, rock, soul, gospel, commercial jingles, and musical theatre. This includes countless big band and combo settings, such as The Bob Weast Swingin’ Big Band and The Red Sneaker Dixieland Jazz Band. She has opened for and/or shared the stage with such luminaries as Irene Myles, Susie Miget, Bruce Katz, Joanna Connor, Robert Cray, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Johnny Rivers, Pat Boone, and many more. 50 plus years of public performing in all kinds of genres and settings has cemented her place as one of the state’s most sought-after vocalists. She has also enjoyed evolving into more directing, producing, arranging, composing, and over 30 years of vocal coaching all ages and stages of singers. A two-time Iowa Blues Challenge winner, Tina recently became the only living woman in Iowa inducted into both the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame and the Iowa Jazz Hall of Fame. Her many musical theatre career highlights as both performer and music director include: Reno in Anything Goes, Narrator in Joseph/Dreamcoat, Cloris Award Music Director nominee for Guys and Dolls at the Des Moines Playhouse, and being the only person in history to sing 2 different roles plus be the music director in her all-time favorite musical, Ain’t Misbehavin’. Most recently, she is very proud to have created and co-produced the powerpacked new musical “The Babel Kind” with her talented husband of 20 years, Brandon Findlay. Offstage she enjoys listening to her musical hero Stevie Nicks, bingeing black and white classic movies, and following the adventures of her brilliant adult daughter Dove Haase.
