We are committed to preach, live out and witness the Gospel of Jesus to our local community of Norwalk and to the rest of the world. The Marian Missionaries Pastoral Team of St. John of God follow these 5 Principles of Administration:
1. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian Faith. The Eucharist is

our uniting factor in the midst of a very diverse community.
2. The work of one pastor is built on the shoulders of the pastors who came before him.
3. We are going to be better STEWARDS of the resources of the parish.
4. The strength of the parish is measured by how we take care of the weakest among us.
5. Mary, the mother of Jesus and our mother, is our model and exemplar of discipleship and new evangelization.

On June 12, the Church celebrates the beautiful Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus — a day to honor Christ’s infinite love and mercy!

On this special feast, the Church grants a plenary indulgence (full remission of all temporal punishment due to sin) to the faithful who:

✅ How to Obtain It:

Publicly recite the Act of Reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (See in the Comments). This must be done publicly—in a church, with your family, or in a religious community.

Fulfill the usual conditions for a plenary indulgence:
⬩ Be detached from all sin (even venial)
⬩ Go to Sacramental Confession (within about 20 days before or after)
⬩ Receive Holy Communion (ideally on the day itself)
⬩ Pray for the intentions of the Holy Father (one Our Father and one Hail Mary)

This is a tremendous grace! A perfect opportunity to make reparation for sins committed against the love of Jesus and to draw closer to His Merciful Heart.

May the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus bless you abundantly with peace, healing, and deeper love for Him.

Mass of Consecration of the United States of America to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
06.11.2026 Homily By Most Rev. William E. Lori, Archbishop of Baltimore

Remain in My Love

“As the Father loves Me, so I also love you. Remain in My love.” — John 15:9

The consecration of the United States to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is more than a ceremony. It is an act of faith, hope, and trust.

We consecrate ourselves because we recognize that our lives, our families, our Church, and even our nation are not sustained by human strength alone. They are sustained by the faithful love of God.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus reminds us that God is not distant or indifferent. His Heart has known joy and sorrow, friendship and betrayal, suffering and sacrifice. It is a Heart that continues to love even when humanity falls short.

Consecration is also an act of humility. We do not come before Christ claiming perfection. We bring Him our blessings and our wounds, our successes and our failures, our hopes and our fears. We ask Him to heal what is broken, strengthen what is good, and guide us toward a future rooted in truth, charity, justice, and peace.

Jesus says in the Gospel, “I have called you friends.” He does not seek servants who obey out of fear, but disciples who remain in His love and allow that love to transform the world.

In a culture often marked by division and uncertainty, the Sacred Heart calls us to choose something greater: trust. The future is not built only by politics, economics, or human plans. The future belongs to God.

To consecrate ourselves to the Sacred Heart is to say: “Lord, I trust You. Shape my heart to be like Yours.”

Do I place my trust in my own plans, or do I entrust my life and future to the Sacred Heart of Jesus?

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my life, my family, and my future into Your loving Heart. Heal what is wounded within me, strengthen what is good, and help me remain always in Your love. Teach me to become an instrument of peace, charity, and hope for others. Amen.
