On this Memorial Day, the Sir Knights of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Assembly 100, Fourth Degree, pause to honor and remember the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

As members of the Patriotic Degree, we are especially mindful of our duty to uphold faith, patriotism, and service. We pray for our fallen heroes, for their families, and for all who continue to defend the freedoms we cherish.

May we never forget those who laid down their lives for others.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

May God bless our military, veterans, first responders, and the United States of America.

🇺🇸 This past weekend, the Sir Knights of Knights of Columbus Bishop Fenwick Assembly 100 were deeply honored to once again participate in two of Norwalk’s most meaningful annual traditions honoring our nation’s heroes.

On Saturday, May 16th, we proudly took part in Norwalk’s Annual Flag Placing Event at St. John Cemetery, helping place American flags at the graves of veterans so their courage, sacrifice, and service are never forgotten. Seeing families, children, veterans, and volunteers come together in remembrance is always a powerful reminder of the strength and patriotism of our community.

Then on Sunday, May 17th, we were honored to provide an Honor Guard for the City of Norwalk’s Annual Veterans Memorial Ceremony, where we joined city leaders, veterans, families, and community members in paying tribute to Norwalk’s Medal of Honor recipients, Daniel Shea and John Magrath, along with all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great nation.

It is a true honor for our Assembly to provide an Honor Guard for these events each and every year. We are equally proud to support and work alongside the Norwalk Veterans Memorial Committee, whose dedication helps make these important events possible throughout the year for our veterans and their families.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped keep the spirit of remembrance alive.

Together, we honor. Together, we remember.
“We can never forget.”

May God bless our veterans, our military, and the United States of America
