“For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He knows your going through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

As believers living today, we are no different than the Israelites that wandered for 40 years in the wilderness. Deep down we know we are blessed and provided for and instead of focusing on the One who provides, we focus on the wilderness and forget that all our needs (not wants) have been provided for. We don’t serve a God who comes and goes, but one who will stay beside us through it all. Have a blessed week.

Just through experience, we know that we are going to have tough times. Sometimes they last for a moment. Others can last for years. Where we find refuge will either help or hinder the healing process. Will you find it in the world or the God who loves you? He knows what you need. Have a blessed week.

The new school year is about to start for some and has already started for others. Some kids are excited while others are dreading it, but either way it’s happening. You can’t stay in the same grade forever, so why do you want to live in the past? Just like you are now a new person because of that experience, if you could go back, it wouldn’t be the same with the knowledge you now have. So look ahead and grow into the person Christ has created you to be. Let Him guide you on this journey. Have a blessed week.

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Talk can be cheap when it’s not real, but when someone confesses, they are telling the truth. Let’s go back to our first days following Christ and cling onto that fire we had. The truth we believed in, until Satan started planting the lies in our head and made us start questioning again. Stand firm in the promise. He is faithful, we should be too. Have a blessed week.

“But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Most of the time when people “know it all” or do really well, they want to personally take the credit. Fill their ego and think that they are untouchable. That is why God chose people (and still does) that there is no other explanation than God working through them. Account after account of the “people’s choice” falling short then the person in the back follows God’s will and succeeds. Remember God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called. In the world we live in right now, right is wrong and wrong is right. If you are not on their side, they want to try to use fear to change your mind. But understand, we are to be like Jesus and that means when the dust settles, we will suffer and we may be standing alone. But when we don’t stand for something, we will fall for anything. It’s fair time and the kids have been working hard to get their projects and animals ready. They have spent countless hours practicing to see if they have what it takes. Yes, they may receive a prize, but it all boils down to one thing, to have the judge tell them they have what it takes. How much greater will it be when the Lord (our judge) meets us at the gates and affirms us and welcomes us home. Have a blessed week.

If we buy what the world is selling, it’s going to cost us a lot. It tells us we have to act a certain way, buy certain things, wear certain brands. But in the end, that is never enough to get us to the top. Everything we are trying to receive from the world, Yahweh has already given us. We are wanted, needed and loved, just the way we are. We don’t have to act to find fake love. We are given true love, freely. Remember you are perfect in His sight. He just wants you to love Him as much as He loves you. Have a blessed week.

“For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We have all tried to build upon different foundations; fame, money, material items, popularity, ect. As we live in the structure we have built, we fear each storm that comes our way because we are always having to repair or rebuild after the storm, but Jesus gives us that firm foundation and builds a house to weather any storm. Yes, storms will still come, but we will always be able to find safety. The cross gives us the peace needed during any weather. Have a blessed week.
