During my hike today at P.J. Hoffmaster State Park, I had the pleasure of meeting three gentlemen who were enjoying the trails before their evening service at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Muskegon.

What a wonderful place to meet them — right in the very backyard that God created. Being outdoors always gives me a sense of calm and brightens my mood with every single hike. I also truly enjoy meeting new people who share that same appreciation for nature.

Today, the Universal Kingdom for all God's Children is revealed. The Agape Vespers, the Agape Meal, and the Easter Egg hunt were joyous. The church was on spiritual fire, and the pews were full. We had over 30 children participate! Our God saved parish has a future in Jesus Christ! May Orthodoxy continue to grow by God's grace.

The Sunday before the Nativity was a great Lord's Day at Annunciation Muskegon! We had our Children's Christmas Pageant with carols. Many parishioners came together to support Philoptochos with a baked goods auction afterward, and the Daughters of Penelope hosted an excellent spaghetti dinner fundraiser. Glory to God!

It was a big work day at the parish. Please thank David, Liz, Jim, Antoni, and Madison for thoroughly cleaning and buffing the floors! Chair rails were installed behind the iconostasis thanks to Daivd. Fr. Joseph cooked macaroni and fasolada for the Agape Meal after Sunday Divine Liturgy.

It has been many years since our parish had enough children for a GOYA ministry. Glory and thanksgiving to God for our first event! Emily and Father made food for everyone. The children played games and made Halloween candy dump cookies for dessert. Kyle gave a nice talk to the children about Christ working in his life when he was a teenager hiking in Kenya with his father. It was a lovely evening. Thanks to all who came!

Congratulations to our Parish Council President Nick Davros for the compassion he has shown to his former student and friend Mark Lamont during his many years of teaching and coaching. Job well done Nick Davros!

Please thank David Hornberger at church for all his hard work! He replaced the facia board behind the church that was rotting away. He hand-cut it to match the others. Since it is pressure-treated wood, it cannot be painted until this coming spring. He will be wrapping up the project tomorrow.
