Your Life Is As A Weaving
from Come Away My Beloved
by Frances J. Roberts

“Let the peace of God rule in your hearts” Colossians 3:15 (NKJV)

My child, your life is as a weaving. Beauty will not come to you by joy alone. Life may be tortuous at times and the path rough. From fabrics of lovely silk and from cords of rougher materials, I fashion what pleases Me. You may never know why certain experiences come. It is enough that My hand brings them all.
My grace is not limited by sorrow and difficulty. Indeed, it shines like a strand of gold mixed in with the black of grief. My hand moves with intimate love, and I am creating a pattern of intricate beauty.
Never be dismayed. The end will bring rejoicing for both yourself and Me. For you are my workmanship, created in Christ, even in His mind before the worlds existed.
Doubt not, for My will shall be done.

He took away the stain of sin
And made me clean and pure within
He took away the strain of care
And now I find peace everywhere

“RIVER OF LOVE”
from Everyday Wisdom to Satisfy Your Soul
Pamela L. McQuade

“He changes rivers into deserts, and springs of water into dry, thirsty land …. But he also turns deserts into pools of water, the dry land into springs of water.” Psalm 107:33,35 (NLT)

Dry to wet or wet to dry, God changes the world at His will, ruling over it in ways we often don’t understand. Though scientists spend time in labs or the environment seeking to understand creation, we lag distantly behind the Lord who commands it. Much in His incredibly complex world eludes our understanding.
But deserts and rivers aren’t the only things God rules. Though we may question or rebel against this truth. God also rules our lives. Even the most wicked of us cannot got further than God allows, and even the best of us has only so many years to do good works.
What’s true of creation is true of us: we too are incredibly complex. Our hearts may hurt for years over a series of wrongs; as they work deep into our souls, they work on our spirits and thoughts in convoluted ways. We may not even understand why we hurt, yet we see the results in our lives.
But just as God perfectly understands our world, He sees into our hurt hearts and spirits. And He can alter a river of hate or doubt into springs of faith and trust. Though that heart change may not happen overnight, with faith and determination to follow God’s Word, we can see amazing changes.
As God’s healing water seeps into our lives, the trickle touches our souls and change becomes possible. But as we open ourselves to His will and way, the trickle springs up, becomes a stream, a pool, then a river of love.
And all of it started in God’s hand.

I Hear His Whisper...I will love you into victory.
Written by Brian Simmons and Gretchen Rodriguez

My love for you is endless. It endures beyond the days of your life and finds its completion in eternity. My love has stepped out of heaven and rested upon your life. As you seek more of me, I will show you the intensity of my love. Is there something in front of you that looks impossible? Are the hearts of others unyielding to me? Is your family surrounded by difficulty and stress?

The burdens you carry must be laid down. Exchange them for my easy yoke and learn from me. Let faith remind you that all things are possible with me. Allow grace to refresh and empower you as you worship in my presence. Watch as my omnipotence floods your impossibility and rearranges your circumstances. I will enrich your soul, enflame your heart, and give you greater joy. I will do the impossible for you, for you are the focus of my attention and the apple of my eye. I will love you into victory.

Mark 9:23 TPT
Jesus said to him, “What do you mean ‘if’? If you are able to believe, all things are possible to the believer.”

Daily Devotions by Sarah Young
From “Jesus Always”, page 229

When planning and problems are preoccupying your mind,
turn to Me and whisper My Name . . . Then ask Me to
illuminate the way forward—helping you sort out what needs
to be done today and what does not.

“Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his
wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings
and tell of his works with songs of joy.” —Psalm 107:21-22

Excerpts from: August Devotion
Pastor Joshua Bodden, Christian Moments

God Understands
Even though it was many years ago, I still remember my teenage years. Back then, I was convinced that no one could understand all of the fears and worries I was dealing with.
Many years later, as a pastor, I found that I had a gift for counseling teens. And some of the best advice flew right in the face of everything I "knew" when I was 17: "Let's talk to your parents." I have counseled many teens during my ministry, and every single time they resist that advice…but eventually they give in. And every time, the teens come back to me and admit they should have talked to their parents long before...They discovered their parents had been there before. And of course, they were reminded that their parents love them.
The devil likes to make us feel isolated. He wants us to think that we are all alone. If he can convince us that no one understands the difficulties and problems we face, then his work is a whole lot easier. But the truth is, we have One who does understand us. A Savior who knows every fear we wrestle with, every anxious moment, every temptation we face. He understands because he has been there. At the tomb of his friend, Jesus wept with the agony of loss. In the garden, he struggled with the fear of the pain coming his way. On the cross, he suffered under the crushing weight of sin-not his sin, but ours.
"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need" (Hebrews 4:15-16). When we try to suffer alone we are ignoring the One who walks beside us through every dark valley. He does understand, he does care, he does love you. Through faith, we can come to him, ask for his help and strength to face every struggle in life. Because our God understands, and he cares about you. Amen.

Until Your Soul Sings Again
Excerpt from “The Encounter: 40 days of Fasting with Jesus”

The Lord’s love for you is unmeasurably intense and deeply personal. … You are the gift Jesus gave his life to obtain. You are the object of his affection.

Allow the revelation of God’s love to permeate you today. Close your eyes to the distractions that have been bombarding you and set your gaze upon the Lord. Feel love’s refreshing breeze, and it will cause your soul to soar. He sees you, beloved. He hears you. He knows what’s on your heart; now it’s time to listen to what is on his. You will find the answers you need in his presence, so don’t resist. Lean in. Be still and rest with him. You don’t have to strive. You only need to trust and enjoy this magnificent gift of love. He is the breakthrough. Stay here, wrapped in his glorious love, until your soul sings again.

Prayer: Lord, you have torn the veil between us. Now nothing can hinder me from running into your presence and drinking deeply from the fountain that never runs dry. Saturate my dry ground. Flood my senses with the substance of your love, until it is all I feel, taste, hear, see and smell. I want to be consumed by glory so that when I look in the mirror, all I see is you.

Celebrate God’s Goodness Devotional Word Scramble
by Faith Gateway

MORNING GLORY

When it is still, quiet, and dark outside, during the wee silhouettes in a lonely, gray world. Then it happens . . . the first rays of light peek over the horizon. Sky and hills and branches and blades of grass catch the energy, and color pours onto every lighted surface. Like magic, light dispels the darkness, and animals respond on cue, chattering and chirping to greet the dawn. As pink and orange hues paint the pale blue sky, it is the perfect time and place to soak up the beauty, the miracle of the sunrise. “From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord’s name is to be praised” (Psalm 113:3 (NKJV)

God brings our earth around for the sun to shine on our lives, initiating beauty from the very beginning. It begs us to start our day mindful of the Master Painter. He is with you in all those sacred moments when light chases away the darkness. Every day His goodness rises to greet us, and the sweetness of His morning touch lingers throughout the day.

Lord, help me remember every morning to praise You as the Master Painter, Creator, and Source of all.

Devotion From: Jesus Lives
By Sarah Young

Instead of rushing to pursue a goal, take time
to talk with Me about it . . . . When you take
the time to first discuss matters with Me, you
experience much more satisfaction.

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD. They
rejoice in your name all day long; they exult in your
righteousness. Psalm 89:15-16

Best Love
From: Everyday Wisdom to Satisfy Your Soul by Pamela L. McQuade

“Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.” Psalm 63:3

Nothing in this world is better than knowing God.
Perhaps, with all the delights of this world that sounds a little strong. You may be in no rush to enter heaven and lose the things you’ve worked hard for and the earthly endowments God has given you. But if you can remember back to the days before you knew God, think of the difference He has made. Would you go back to life before Jesus? I know I wouldn’t. The emptiness of life without Him is something I’d never want to reproduce. No wise Christian could trade anything for that kind of life.
Once Jesus enters a heart, losing life becomes but a painful moment that opens the door to eternity. When we know Him, we need no longer fear what happens after death. Eternal delights cannot compare to anything here on earth – even the best of the blessings God has already given us. Our hearts are no longer earthbound, and we long to be with Him. . . . . . .
Though we may not rush to leave the fellowship of friends and family, the beauty of the world, and so much more that God has given, like the psalmist, we appreciate that anything that lacks Jesus is less than the best. Life here without God’s love would be meaningless.
David had his priorities straight when he wrote this. Even being king of Israel, with all its benefits, wasn’t better than loving God. So during his life, he praised his Maker. And in eternity, he’s praising still.

Devotion from Jesus Calling… Jesus Listens
by Sarah Young

I’m learning to thank You for my hard times and
praise You for ongoing troubles, regardless of how
I’m feeling.

I want to glorify You by always giving thanks, even
in the midst of adversity—because of who You are
and all that You’ve done for me.

Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks
to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
