🌅Have you ever noticed how the sunrise doesn’t ask permission to arrive?🌅

After the longest night, light still comes.

There’s something about watching darkness slowly lose its grip as the morning breaks through. It doesn’t argue. It doesn’t resist. It simply fades.

Life can feel like a long night sometimes. Waiting. Wondering. Praying. Not seeing answers yet. God’s Word reminds us that light always belongs to Him.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5

Even when life feels like a long night, God is already working the morning into place.

Calling sin a sin is not judgment, it’s truth.

Just like calling a car a car isn’t being judgmental, calling sin what it is isn’t hate or condemnation. It’s simply acknowledging what God has already defined.

The Bible doesn’t ask us to redefine truth based on feelings or culture. It calls us to stand on it.

We can love people deeply while still being honest about what God calls right and wrong. In fact, real love tells the truth.

“Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth?” Galatians 4:16

Truth isn’t unkind. And love isn’t silent.

🤲 What Does It Mean to Lay Hands on Someone in Prayer? 🤲

The practice of laying hands on someone in prayer is deeply rooted in Scripture. It is a biblical act that symbolizes blessing, healing, commissioning, and spiritual support.

Throughout the Bible, we see God’s people laying hands on others as they prayed. Jesus Himself often touched those He healed, showing compassion and power in His ministry. The early church continued this practice as believers prayed for healing, received the Holy Spirit, and commissioned others for ministry.

📖 “They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:18
📖 “Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.” Acts 8:17
📖 “Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands…” 1 Timothy 4:14

The power is never in the hands themselves - the power is always in God. Laying on of hands is simply an outward expression of inward faith, agreement in prayer, and unity before the Lord.

As a church family, we are called to walk together in love and support. When someone is hurting, facing a difficult decision, battling illness, or carrying a heavy burden, we are reminded that we are not meant to carry it alone.

📖 “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

We are thankful for a Bible-believing Pastor and a church family that stands in prayer, believes in God’s healing power, and faithfully supports those in need.

We don’t get to redefine sin to fit our lifestyle.

People today often twist Scripture to make sin more acceptable or to justify what they want to do. But the Bible doesn’t change to match culture, we’re called to change to match the Bible.

God is very clear about sin. From the Ten Commandments —idolatry, blasphemy, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, stealing, lying, and coveting, to the teachings of Paul in Galatians 5, Scripture lays out how we are called to live.

Paul reminds us that the works of the flesh include things like impurity, jealousy, fits of rage, drunkenness, and more. Then he makes it clear: those who live according to the flesh are not walking in the Spirit.

That means we don’t get to pick and choose what is sin and what isn’t. We choose whether we will live according to the flesh or according to the Spirit, but we can’t do both.

We all stumble, but the question is: are we repenting and changing, or repeatedly excusing what God has already called us out of?

It’s time to examine our lives honestly. Let’s pursue the fruits of the Spirit and strive daily to look more like Christ.

“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16

Stop asking God for a sign when He’s already given you a Scripture.

So many times we pray for direction, but ignore the direction we already hold in our hands. God’s Word isn’t unclear, it’s just often overlooked. We don’t always need something new from God; sometimes we need to be faithful with what He’s already said.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105

If you’re feeling unsure today, go back to what He’s already spoken. The Bible still works.

📖 The Most Repeated Command in the Bible Isn't "Pray." It's "Do Not Fear."

Over and over throughout Scripture, God tells His people:
"Fear not."
"Do not be afraid."
"Be not dismayed."

Why? Because fear has a way of keeping us from where God wants us to be.

Fear tells us we're not good enough.
Fear tells us we'll be judged.
Fear tells us we don't belong.
Fear tells us to stay where we are.

But God says, "Do not fear, for I am with you." (Isaiah 41:10)

Maybe you've thought about coming to church, but something has been holding you back.
Maybe you're afraid you don't know enough about the Bible.
Maybe you're worried about what others will think.
Maybe you feel like your life isn't together enough yet.

The truth is, nobody comes to church because they've got everything figured out. We come because we need Jesus. The church isn't a gathering of perfect people. It's a gathering of people who know they need God's grace.

So if you're scared you're not good enough... Come anyway.

If you're carrying burdens... Come anyway.

If you have questions... Come anyway.

If you've been away from church for years... Come anyway.

Jesus never told people to clean themselves up before coming to Him. He simply said, "Come."

📖 God Never Called Anyone in the Bible Because They Were Qualified

Think about it.

Moses said he wasn't a good speaker.
Gideon said he was the least in his family.
Jeremiah said he was too young.
Jonah ran the other direction.
Peter was impulsive and often got it wrong.
Paul had a past he could never erase on his own.

Yet God used every one of them.

We often believe we need to be stronger, smarter, more talented, or more prepared before God can use us. But throughout Scripture, God doesn't call the qualified. He qualifies the called.

God isn't looking for perfect people. He's looking for willing hearts.

The Bible is filled with ordinary people who trusted an extraordinary God. Their ability wasn't what changed the world; God's power working through them did.

Maybe you've been telling yourself:
❌ "I'm not ready."
❌ "I don't know enough."
❌ "Someone else could do it better."

But if God is calling you, your qualifications are not the deciding factor. His presence is.

When God called Moses, He didn't promise Moses would suddenly become eloquent. He simply said:

"Certainly I will be with thee." Exodus 3:12

That same truth still applies today.

Your weakness is not an obstacle to God.
It is often the very place where His strength is displayed.

⏳ What if the waiting isn't a punishment? What if the delay is actually preparation?⏳

We often ask God, "Why hasn't this happened yet?" But throughout Scripture, God frequently worked in the waiting.

Noah waited for the rain.
Abraham waited for the promise.
Joseph waited in prison.
David waited for the throne.
The disciples waited for Pentecost.

The waiting season wasn't wasted. It was where God was shaping faith, building character, and preparing hearts for what was coming next.

Sometimes we're so focused on the destination that we miss what God is doing in the process.

If you're in a season of waiting, don't assume God is absent. The Bible shows us that God often does His deepest work before we ever see the answer.

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength..." Isaiah 40:31

🌦️ Have you ever noticed how beautiful it is when the sun shines through the rain?

It seems impossible at first. Rain clouds fill the sky, yet somehow the sunlight still finds a way through. In those moments, we're often treated to one of God's most beautiful reminders—a rainbow.

Life can feel the same way. There are seasons when the storms are heavy, the clouds are dark, and the rain just keeps falling. Yet even in those moments, God's light is still shining. We may not always see it immediately, but His presence has not left us.

The Bible reminds us that God is near in every season. He walks with us through the valleys, carries us through the storms, and faithfully brings hope even when circumstances seem bleak.

Sometimes the rain doesn't stop right away. Sometimes the storm lingers. But the sunlight reminds us that the storm is not the whole story.

If you're walking through a difficult season today, keep looking for the light. God's grace is still shining, even through the rain.

"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?" Psalm 27:1

🕊️ What Does It Mean to Be Anointed with Oil? 🕊️

Throughout Scripture, oil is often used as a symbol of God's presence, blessing, healing, and consecration. In James 5:14, we are instructed: "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord."

The oil itself does not possess any special power. Rather, it serves as a visible reminder of our faith in the One who does. When believers are anointed with oil, we are placing our trust in God, seeking His will, His healing, His comfort, and His strength.

We are thankful to have a Bible-believing pastor who follows the teachings of Scripture and is willing to pray with those who desire to be anointed. Whether you are facing illness, uncertainty, burdens, or simply seeking God's guidance, know that you do not have to walk alone.

God still hears prayers. God still comforts His people. God is still at work.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face... then will I hear from heaven." 2 Chronicles 7:14
