It doesn’t always happen, but the Lord allowed my path to cross with a young man and his wife here in town a couple of weeks ago. The conversation began with something like “what church do you go to?”..and I answered his question. You could tell he was trying to place me and where he knew me from.. I told him I’m a preacher, but I did not pastor there. However, I do preach in Juvenile Detention Centers and schools.  Once he heard this, he immediately said that “that’s where I know you from.” “You preached to me years ago.” 🙋🏻♂️
Come to find out this was about 10 years ago in juvenile detention center and yet he remembered. Today, he is married and in church, and they have a newborn together. These kind of interactions are a great encouragement and a reminder to us as we live and minister for the Lord. We ultimately have no idea just what all God is doing in the lives of people we come in contact with, and truthfully, we may never know this side of heaven. God sees that we get glimpses of it along the way though… And what a blessing it is!
If you read this far in the post, the encouragement to you is keep on keeping on! Keep plowing, keep planting, keep watering, keep working while the day is still day! The night is coming when no man can work. We must redeem the time! It is worth it all… All the sweat, savings, sacrifice, and service! God is doing a work with your work!
