All Saints was in the house for the closing Eucharist of the “Full and Equal: 50 Years in Pursuit of a Promise” conference at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral yesterday. The conference was celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Episcopal Church adopting a resolution affirming that LGBTQ people are "children of God with a full and equal claim upon the church’s love, acceptance, and pastoral concern and care." This resolution was passed at the 65th General Convention of The Episcopal Church, which was held that year in Minneapolis.

The Most Rev. Sean Rowe, Presiding Bishop, celebrated the Eucharist, the Rt. Rev. V. Gene Robinson (first openly partnered gay bishop in our church) preached a terrific sermon, and six LGBTQ+ bishops joined Bishops Sean and Gene in concelebrating the Eucharist. Our own Penelope and Pam Middleton were among the acolyte corps for the service and Fr. Cody and Katie Garner (our alto choral scholar and incoming youth ministry assistant) were in the congregation.

It was a rousing and spirit-filled celebration of God’s deep and abiding love for all of God’s people!

Congratulations to our own Joan Ennis on receiving the Friend of Education award from the Northfield Public Schools!

The Northfield Education Association and Northfield Public Schools recognized Joan Ennis with the Friend of Education Award at this year's back-to-school kickoff event.

Joan has been a dedicated friend to Northfield students and educators for more than two decades, beginning with her work at the public library supporting middle school History Day research projects. At Spring Creek Elementary, Joan has become a beloved volunteer and book club leader, offering individualized support and a genuine interest in every child. Joan’s generosity, enthusiasm, and unwavering belief in children make her a truly deserving Northfield Friend of Education. Congratulations, Joan!
