Join Rabbi Shosh Sunday night at 7pm via Zoom for a celebration of Tu B’Shvat! Link is on the College Ministry Events events page which you can find at https://linktr.ee/Stolafministry

All are invited to a Jewish celebration of trees! Tu B’Shvat (the 15th of the lunar month of Shvat, the ancient date for tithing trees) was for centuries considered a minor Jewish holiday. In recent decades it has moved to the forefront, because of our growing, urgent need to focus on our relationship with our precious earth.

Together with Associate Chaplain Rabbi Shosh Dworsky, Jewish students and the climate-conscious among you, we’ll bless and munch fruits of trees – dates, figs, almonds, pistachios and more! We’ll celebrate and reflect, via readings, songs, and personal sharing of experiences and hopes, on how we have come to this critical time for the environment, and where we go from here. You are invited to bring any fruits of trees that you have and we will all eat together online!
