Ties of hope and love, sister and brotherhood

More than ever, this is a time to remember the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his vision for a beloved community. This Sunday at 8:30 a.m., we will gather at the Northfield United Methodist Church to celebrate the life of Dr. King and think about what that means for us today. All are invited to join us.

Starting this Sunday, June 15, 2025, the Northfield United Methodist Church will be immersing ourselves in thinking about the meaning of love and our call to be a community of embrace. The Summer of Love will be looking at the five Greek words that are different descriptions of love as used in the Bible. Each week, we will explore a different perspective on love. So, put on your tie-dye, put a flower in your hair, and join us as we celebrate together the Summer of Love.

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the season of Lent in the Christian calendar. We will be marking this event with a special service of repentance including the imposition of ashes. The service will begin at noon today and will last around 45 minutes. All are welcome!
