The format for this study group on the life of Jesus is simple.
- We'll read a chapter from the gospel of Mark.
- I'll give a five minute summary of the chapter
- We will discuss together and then move on to the next chapter
- Over eight weeks we will move through all the gospel of Mark.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19)

"You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work." (2 Timothy 3)

LOVE is . . .
Although 1 Corinthians 13 is a fitting Scripture for a wedding, it was originally written to a church that had lost it's way and forgotten a key defining quality Jesus gave to his children, "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35)

But the church in Corinth was falling short of this. So the Apostle Paul admonishes them with these words:
"But in the following instructions I do not commend you, because when you come together it is not for the better but for the worse. For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you . . do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, I will not."
(I Corinthians 11)
And then he talks to them about what LOVE is . . .
