Continuing our tradition of having service outdoors the first Sunday of September, we’ll meet at Sechler Park instead of UUFN. The theme for September is “Beginnings” and we would love to hear from members and friends. You're invited to bring your prose or poetry or any creation on this theme (or another!) to share during the service.

This week's service is in-person only. Sechler Park is located at 1200 Armstrong Road, about two miles from UUFN. We have the shelter reserved, which has restrooms and is accessible for those with limited mobility. There's a playground and lots of open space for enjoying the park after the service. Bring your own beverages and lunch if you’d like to enjoy a picnic after the service!

Here at UUFN, questions are not only welcome, they are celebrated. For this service, Rev. Sara will have some questions to ask you all (perhaps some of the same ones she answered during the August 9th Question Box service!), but rest assured no one will be forced to participate. Come with curiosity and an open heart and let’s learn from one another.

In these stressful and troubled times, the temptation to sink into fantasies of all kinds is real. We’ll explore the virtues and drawbacks of escapism, and get to the heart of what truth, comfort, and resiliency can mean for us today. Rev. Schuyler is the Chaplain at Carleton College and an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister.

Summer music Sundays have become a cherished tradition at UUFN! We will dive further into new songs from “Sing Out Love” (the online UU hymnal) while offering connections to hymns already established in our living tradition. Whether you join us every week or this is your first Sunday, come enjoy some wonderful new music, reflections on songs in worship, and so much more in this vibrant service.

Pub Theology is tonight at 6:30! We'll be inside at Chapel Brewing given the heat, though if a few people would rather sit outside the deck is also open.

We gather at 6:30 for a short introduction to the evening's topic, then have time for meaningful and fun conversation.

These gatherings are open to everyone - theists, atheists, agnostics, and others, churched and unchurched - so come alone or bring a friend.
