In town for Big Boy No. 4014? Make a stop at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament to hear North America's only working Steinmeyer organ of its kind come to life!

During the Big Boy festivities, the historic organ will be played on the hour:

• Wednesday, July 8: 9 AM–7 PM
• Thursday, July 9: 9 AM–4 PM
• Friday, July 10: 9 AM–4 PM
• Saturday, July 11: 9 AM–Noon

Visitors are also welcome to join us for Holy Mass at noon Wednesday through Saturday, when the Steinmeyer organ will accompany the liturgy.

Featuring 62 stops, 83 ranks, and thousands of pipes, including some that stand 32 feet tall, the Steinmeyer organ has filled the Cathedral with breathtaking music since 1931.

While you're here, step inside the Cathedral to stop, look, and listen. Experience the beauty of North America's only working Steinmeyer organ and explore one of Altoona's most treasured places. A full schedule of programming will be posted tomorrow.

Today marks 125 years since the establishment of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown by Pope Leo XIII and is a time to give thanks and glory to God for His continued blessings as we work together to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Allegheny Mountains. All are invited to a special anniversary Mass this Sunday, May 31st, at 2:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona.
