Someone asked tonight about Northampton Recovery Center meetings tonight. I didn't have an answer for them then and I don't have their contact so I'm just going to post here. Maybe it will be useful to someone. The NRC has Ma*****na Anonymous at 6:30 pm and AA plain language Big Book Meeting at 8PM tonight.

On October 1, critical changes are coming to SNAP benefits. Here's what happens on that date:

- USDA implements annual Cost of Living Adjustments and income limit updates
- States begin absorbing larger shares of SNAP's administrative costs under H.R. 1

The families hit hardest? Those in states already struggling with poverty and food insecurity, like Mississippi, Louisiana, West Virginia, Texas, and California.

This deadline will determine whether families can afford nutritious food or whether hunger deepens.

Did you know we partner with First Churches to provide a weekly breakfast for 100 of neighbors each Friday from 7-10. However, this all-volunteer project cannot operate without volunteers to keep it going! Right now, we need more volunteers to help out to keep this breakfast running for our community.
