The Ohel Minyan The Ohel Minyan sustains halakhically traditional, egalitarian Jewish community in Northampton, MA COVID policy upon request.

The mission of the Ohel Minyan is to create and sustain a halachically traditional, egalitarian Jewish community in Northampton, MA. We are excited to build a community around our love of communal prayer and a desire to help each other through our life stages, challenges, losses, and celebrations. We meet weekdays at 8:15 am and Sundays at 9 am EST in members' backyards. We are affiliated with Congregation Bnei Israel.

We are so happy that Molly Shaffer Parr is going to be publicly recognized for her role in building and supporting The Ohel Minyan! Join us 12/4 for the ceremony.

The Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts is proud to honor Molly Parr of Ohel Minyan as a 2025 Shem Tov Award recipient! For five years, Molly personally called every community member with a yahrzeit, offering a warm reminder to come to minyan and say Kaddish. Her simple, heartfelt phone calls—never just texts or emails—brought comfort and connection to so many, especially after COVID isolation. ❤️
