Formed through the historic merger of Canaan Chapel, Saint James, Wesley Chapel, and Harris Chapel—churches of deep significance to the Black Methodist tradition in the South Carolina Annual Conference—Saint Mark honors the lives and sacrifice

s of trailblazing ancestors who worshiped in humble bush harbors and laid the foundation for generations to come. From its roots in post-emancipation worship and education to the formal merger in 1994 and the construction of its current sanctuary on 25.5 acres, the church has continually evolved while preserving its rich heritage through physical markers like the Bell Unit and cornerstone memorials. Through decades of pastoral leadership, community outreach, educational partnerships, and spiritual growth—even amidst challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic—Saint Mark remains a beacon of Christian commitment. Moss, the church continues to thrive with renewed purpose, proclaiming its mission: “We are offering Help, Hope, and a Place to Call Home in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Pause. Pray. Trust God. 🙏✨

He already sees the road ahead, even when you can’t see what’s next. You may not have all the answers, but you don’t have to. Keep walking by faith, trusting that God will order your steps, open the right doors, and give you peace along the way.

Don’t let fear lead you when faith can guide you.

🌿 Wednesday Recap 🌿

During our Family and Friends Day, Rev. Moss brought an inspiring and timely word from Joshua 24:14–15. The sermon, entitled “One Family, One Faith, One God,” reminded us of the importance of keeping God at the center of our families, our faith, and our lives.

🙏 Three Takeaways:

1. Remember the Faithfulness of God.
Take time to reflect on all that God has done. His faithfulness is evident through every season, every challenge, and every blessing.

2. Remove the False Gods.
We must identify and remove anything that takes priority over God. There is no room for divided devotion when we have chosen to serve the Lord.

3. Resolve to Serve the Lord Together.
Faith is stronger when we walk together. As families, friends, and believers, let us make the commitment to serve God, encourage one another, and stand united in faith.

“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15

One Family. One Faith. One God. ❤️🙏🏽

Whatever battle you are facing, remember: the battle is not yours… it belongs to the Lord. 🙏🏾

You don’t have to carry what God has already promised to fight for you. Stand firm. Pray boldly. Walk in faith. Trust His timing and believe that He is working things out, even when you cannot see it.
