Our Kingdom Kids had the opportunity to send love to a little girl fighting cancer. She loves to collect rocks. Our kids painted rocks that will soon be mailed to her. Showing kindness and love to others is a Gospel foundation.

Kingdom Kids learned about "sandpaper words" (saying unkind things) and "cotton ball words" (kind words).

They also had a sensory lesson (Hard objects vs soft objects). Fun fact: Some of the objects were both!

"Are we using soft words, like cotton balls or hard words, like sandpaper?"

The LORD really is too good to us. This is not a "boast" in anything other than Jesus. Without Him we have nothing, not even the breath with take in and breathe out. A wonderful realization is that when we gather together on Sundays or other times throughout the week, we do not just meet to be entertained nor just be seen. Well, that is the way it should be. We come together to be in God's presence, TOGETHER. We come to worship God, to study His Word, to learn His will of salvation and sanctification for our lives. Well, that is the way it should be. We learn how to walk with the LORD even when we are broken or do not have all of the answers. We put our faith, our trust, in the only one who really gets us, who knows us better than we know ourselves, who loves us more than anyone. We do not always trust our eyes or our hands. We trust with our very depths of us that God is in control. Well, that is the way it should be. We must not be ashamed to say, "I need Jesus." Every believer, disciple of Jesus, is at a different point on their journey than others. The way you look, the way you think, the way you dress, the way you talk; all of this was built over the years and, though it may not be in line with Christ and the message of heart holiness at the time of salvation, as we earnestly seek Jesus, in time, things begin to change as our will and our mind become transformed to His. Our bodies, may be damaged with drugs, alcohol, food, etc..., our language may be that of the evil one, our modesty may not be so modest. As we walk with Jesus, all of that changes. It may take time and will not be overnight, but transformation will happen if we are honest. Well, at least that is the way it should be..... That is the way it should be...
