The Lutheran Junior Honor Association had a busy week. On Thursday we baked sugar cookies with the famed Ms. Szalach. Sunday afternoon we had a fruitful bakewash - bake sale and car wash. The money raised will go to Pioneer on the Lake to support the ministry God does through them. Well done, students!

The second graders had a wonderful time on their field trip today to the Buffalo Heritage Museum! They explored a one-room schoolhouse, visited a Lutheran church built in the 1880s, toured a blacksmith shop, and stepped inside a log cabin. They made butter, fed chickens, and even had the chance to pet some sheep.

Our PK3 class is learning about vegetable gardens! We transformed our dramatic play center into a vegetable garden where we can plant and harvest our veggies, sort them by color, and chop them up to prepare for cooking and eating them! Today, we went on a virtual field trip to a children's garden, and we learned about the different colors of fruits and veggies, including peppers. onions, carrots, turnips, peas, and tomatoes. Later in the week, we will practice our scissor skills by cutting out our veggies and gluing them onto brown paper to make vegetable garden artwork!
