Eid al-Fitr 1446 Announcement

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah
We thank our community for being patient this year as we awaited a verified sighting of the moon. All reputable moonsighting bodies in North America have determined that there has been no positive credible sighting of the Shawwal 1446 crescent moon. Accordingly, and in consultation with a group of scholars and imams in Rhode Island and the Greater Boston Area, we have decided that we will complete the fasting of the 30th day of the blessed month of Ramadan and observe Eid al-Fitr on Monday March 31, 2025, insha’Allah. Please refer to your local Masjid for Eid prayer timings and locations.
In keeping with the direction of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), we have made this determination out of concern to safeguard the sacred worship of our communities. We understand this year that different masjids have chosen to adopt different criteria for determining the end of Ramadan. We respect this difference and ask that our communities do the same and avoid engaging in disputation. May Allah accept the efforts of our imams, scholars, and community leaders and keep our heard together.

Announcing the arrival of Ramadhan 1445/ 2024
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful the Most Kind
We are honored to congratulate all of our brothers and sisters in RI/ New England upon the arrival of this auspicious blessed month of Ramadhan.
The crescent of Ramadhan has been confirmed through credible sighting reports as confirmed by AMJA.
Monday March 11 2024 will be the first day of Ramadhan 1445
Taraweeh prayers will begin tonight Insha’Allah.
We remind everyone to take every minute of this blessed month of Ramadhan seriously and spend it in the obedience of our beloved Creator.
Be kind to others. Show sympathy and empathy to others and join others in doing good and forbidding evil.
May Allah allow us to maximize our rewards in this blessed month of Ramadhan and redeem ourselves through noble acts.
Please remember everyone in your prayers during the blessed days and nights of Ramadhan especially our brothers and sisters in Palestine/ Gaza.
