📣 A bench update from FCC!

Hello all! Thank you so much for your sharing the info about our stolen rainbow bench — we appreciate all the support we’ve gotten this week!! 💗

The rainbow bench 🌈 was donated to us by David's UCC - Canal Wi******er , a congregation near Columbus, Ohio. It arrived on Saturday August 22nd and disappeared by Monday August 31st; it wasn’t even here for two weeks! Since the bench had recently been delivered, it was sitting in the back of the parking lot while we decided where to officially put it.

When they heard about it’s disappearance, the folks at DUCC reached out and offered to gift us another bench to keep the rainbow spirit alive and we have happily taken them up on that! So never fear, another rainbow bench will be coming soon 😊

Here at FCC, we will continue to love all of God’s creation loudly and proudly, including, but not limited to, the LGBTQ+ community. The fact that our bench was taken is all the more reason for us to stay grounded in God’s abundant love for all!

If the saga of the stolen Pride Bench has you curious, come check FCC out for a Sunday worship service! On the first Sunday of the month we do an Impromptu Bible Study and celebrate Communion during the service — it’s a great time to visit. This Sunday (9/6) we will also have a New Member Class following worship where you can come with all your questions!

We love the way Cuban-American theologian talks about God as shared, rather than private. "We need one another because no single body, culture, or nation can bear the fullness of God's image alone," says Armas. Together, we reply HALLELUJAH! ❤

‼ Oh no! Our new rainbow 🌈 bench is missing! Surely it was taken by someone committed to LGBTQ+ rights who wants to share their support LOUD AND PROUD 😉 rather than by a mean-spirited person who's okay with stealing from churches.. right?
