Introducing You to ROLAND WORTON—Sunday, June 7th
I can’t wait for you to meet a dear friend of mine! Roland Worton is a British-born worship leader, pastor, author, speaker, and trainer who has spent more than three decades serving in worship ministry, leadership development, and cross-cultural missions.

He later has since relocated to the United States, where he serves in pastoral ministry and continues to serve the Iranian Church with Elam Ministries via worship, discipleship, and spiritual formation.

Some Background: Involvement with The Call England

Roland was worship leader and organizer of the worship/prayer-movement known as The Call England, which emerged in the early 2000s. The movement mobilized large-scale prayer, worship, fasting, repentance, and spiritual renewal across England, inspired by similar gatherings in the United States.

His writings, especially his book “Emerging Worship”, emphasizes Prophetic worship, prayer and intercession, equipping worship leaders and musicians, and integrating worship and mission.

Ministry Among Iranian Christians

One of the most distinctive aspects of Roland's ministry is his ministry to Iranian believers in Britain and the Middle East. I first met Roland at the Iranian Bible College in London (Guilford), England – probably the most significant day in my 50 years of ministry. He was instrumental in leading worship in Farsi (Persian) and sending fresh renewals of worship into Iran, Afghanistan and Turkey, via worship recordings.

We are blessed that Roland is now living in the DFW metroplex and available to lead our worship this Sunday, June 7th! We have asked him to take us beyond the songs sung, into a prophetic flow of Holy Spirit to breathe on Table of Friends.

It’s a rare day that Chiqui and I, and Kapena, are away from Table of Friends on the same day, and so I am really, really thrilled that you will get to be with one of the Church’s generals in taking the people of God to the Throne of God. Please don’t miss this!

Dear Table of Friends:
Can you believe it has already been 7 weeks since Easter Sunday? This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost Sunday — the coming of the Holy Spirit in fulfillment of the Law, to do in us what the Law could never do.
Pentecost marks the birth of the Church and the empowering of every believer as prophet, priest, and king. What a beautiful reminder that God did not simply save us from something, but filled us for something — life with Him, life in His Spirit, and participation in His Kingdom.

As we come to the end of our month-long focus on “The Book of His Voice,” my prayer has been that you would be hearing the Father’s voice in these days, being gently weaned from the distractions of this world, and made ready for a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit.

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were together, seeking His face with expectancy… and they were filled. I am praying that same expectancy for us this Sunday — that we would come hungry for “rivers of living water,” ready to worship, ready to remember what He has done, and ready to give Him room to do what He desires among us as our Honored Guest.

Happy Birthday, Church! We cannot wait to celebrate with you.

Memorial Day we are inviting families with kids to a backyard BBQ on the back patio at Basecamp. Last Sunday was our first time to use our new, donated playground as a family after service!
Make sure to sign up this Sunday or message Emma McDonald so she can coordinate the food.
(We'll be using a BBQ grill)
