Some churches have baptized hundreds, even thousands, this year. And those numbers are incredible. We celebrate what God is doing through them.

But today, I want to celebrate ONE.

Our church had ONE baptism.
ONE person said YES to Jesus.
ONE life publicly declared, “I belong to Christ.”

It may not be historic.

But heaven celebrates ONE.

Jesus said there is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. And James 5:20 reminds us:

“Whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.”
— James 5:20 ESV

So today, we celebrate this ONE baptism.
We celebrate ONE life changed.
We celebrate one soul coming home.
