Hello North Pomfret Church community and friends,
Welcome to September and all of the changes this month ushers in. Children are headed back to school and young people are transitioning into new educational or work opportunities. The crush to harvest and preserve the garden bounty is in full swing. The fullness of our days has begun to slow as daylight hours decline. We are checking our closets for cool weather garments that might need cleaning, mending, replacing, or donating. The rhythm of Creation is a rhythm of ongoing change. But our Creator remains constant come what may. God’s care for us is steadfast whether our days are long or short, warm or cool, busy or calm. And all is well.

Faithfully,
Pastor Rhonda

Hello North Pomfret Church community and friends,
Don’t you just marvel at people who have planned their perennial gardens such that there is always something blooming throughout the season? I aspire to do the same in my backyard but still have a ways to go. Fortunately, our church grounds were blessed by someone who took the time to ensure that something beautiful greets us as we approach the building each Sunday in summer. And a different angel plants and cares for the bed of annuals that make our church look alive and inviting to everyone passing by. Now that it is August, it may feel as though summer is slipping away. But there are plenty more warm sunny days, and beautiful flowers yet to come. So let us enjoy them and give thanks for these and every blessing.

Faithfully,
Pastor Rhonda

Hello North Pomfret Church community and friends,
It’s impossible to ignore the beauty of God’s creation during the summer in Vermont. Many people feel that the forrest is their cathedral and their gardens are holy ground. Some find peace afloat on a river or lake, or their spirits rejuvenated relaxing on the shore. Others experience community around a campfire, and joy chasing fireflies. Creation is sacred space and every minute outdoors is holy. So as you enjoy the beauty and the wonder of nature, maybe whisper a little “thank you” to the one who offers us these gifts.

Blessings and peace,
Pastor Rhonda
