Ephesians 1:11-23 and Luke 6:20-31
1. Was there ever a time in your life when you retaliated and treated someone exactly how they treated you? Think about the situation … your age, and perhaps how you were instructed to respond.

2. Thinking back to that time in the last question and after listening to the Gospel today … what would you have done differently?

3. As we move forward together in Christ’s mission, how can you make efforts to offer the other cheek, pray for, and continue to bless those who sin against you?

2 Timothy 4:6-8, 16-18 and Luke 18:9-14
1. Try to think of your most difficult day … maybe you learned of some troubling news, maybe the tasks were overwhelming, maybe it was all of that. Looking back … what advice would you give to yourself then that you did not know at the time?

2. We know that some days are just more difficult than others. It will happen to each of us. How do you give yourself grace or gift others with grace when you are feeling overwhelmed and defeated?

3. When you have a particularly challenging day … what helps you fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith?

2 Timothy 3:14-4:5 and Luke 18:1-8
1. Have you ever prayed and God answered the prayer differently than how you anticipated or requested? If so, how?

2. Sometimes it is difficult to not lose hope in what we deem as unanswered prayers. How do you keep hope alive when you feel as if God is not hearing your prayers?

3. Have you ever tried a different approach to prayer? For example … instead of asking God to answer a prayer with a specific solution or way, have you left the prayer open for God to answer as God deems necessary? I encourage you to try it.

How could you show someone you love them today?

10/08/2025

2 Timothy 2:8-15 and Luke 17:11-19
1. Let’s take a journey … imagine yourself here with Christ as these 10 lepers come forward asking to be cleansed. What might the scene have been like? The sounds … the smells … the sights.

2. Last week the apostles said to Christ, “Increase our faith.” This week the lepers are healed and most of them go on their way after the miracle not acknowledging Christ. Why do we expect so much from others? Why do we also expect so much from Christ? We are not owed anything.

3. Christ does work miracles and does great things for each of us. Those around us also do good works and we benefit from them. But many times we go on without giving thanks and sharing our appreciation for what was done. How can we improve that?
