We are kicking off a new series of groups tomorrow at 6:30 with groups for everyone in the family.

FOR MEN- “9 Attributes of a Man” by Vince Miller. Every man is shaped by something: culture, pressure, past wounds, or personal ambition. But Jesus modeled a different path—a set of attributes that formed the most complete, courageous, and compelling man who ever lived. 9 Attributes for Men uncovers those traits and shows men how to build them into their daily lives.

FOR WOMEN- “Elijah” by Priscilla Shirer. Join in on this journey through the life and times of the prophet Elijah to discover how the fire on Mount Carmel was forged in the valley of famine. And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now.

FOR STUDENTS (7th grade+)- Willow Beach Students gives our teens a place to learn to live out their faith. Most Wednesdays they gather to worship and then study the Bible together in a way that they can connect with. Other weeks they may go and serve together and live out what they are learning, like going to serve a widow.

FOR KIDS- While mom and dad are participating in the other groups we also have something for the kids to give them a safe place to learn about Jesus.

All groups start at 6:30 pm and we are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Why am I excited 🥳 about moving into a smaller office on a Tuesday afternoon?

Because we are making room to open up a new room for groups to meet in my old office 🎉. We will be starting a new group on Sundays at 9:30 am, that begins on September 13, for young adults that will be led by Chris and Amie Seaton. So we will now have two group options for our adults.

Starting on Wednesday, September 9, will also be changing up our Wednesday nights, offering a new women’s group that will meet in the Fellowship Hall led by Megan Handy and Hailey Norman. We will also be have a new men’s group, led by Ricky Duncan, on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.

PS- Thank you to the people that helped move stuff out of the room that is my new office and were flexible. I love their heart to prioritize discipleship. ❤️

"What actually happens the moment you die? Jesus answered that question directly — and the answer isn't 'it depends on how good you were.'" In this message on the parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16), Jake Norman tackles one of the most avoided questions in faith and life: is there life after death, and if so, where do you go? Jesus' story of a wealthy man who ignored a suffering beggar at his gate — and what each of them found on the other side — becomes a gut-level wake-up call about eternity, mercy, and the chasm that can't be uncrossed once we're there. It's also deeply personal: Jake opens up about wondering whether loved ones of his own passed from this life without knowing Jesus. If you've ever lost someone and wondered what happens next — for them, or for you — this is worth 30 minutes of your time.

In this message, we walk straight into what many scholars consider to be one of the most difficult parables of Jesus to understand. Craig Blomberg says more scholarly ink has been spilled on this story than any other Jesus told. R.C. Sproul called it "almost universally" the hardest to understand. In this parable a dishonest manager gets commended for cheating his boss, some Pharisees get offended, and once again Jesus calls us to follow His example. The real question underneath the puzzle: are you managing your life, your time, and your money for God's glory — or your own? It lands on one gut-check line: "You cannot serve God and money." Not a light watch, but a necessary one.

Every follower of Jesus is called to be actively and personally involved in the mission of Jesus to carry the Gospel from next door to around the world in some way. The message today will give you a simple, memorable framework to help you think about how you can participate in the mission of God in various ways.

We have special guests with us in service today that serve as missionaries. We will hear from them about their ministry after the message.

This Sunday we will have missionaries in service with us. After the message you will hear about their ministry and have the opportunity to ask them questions ❓about what it is like to live for Christ in their field 🌎 and serve as missionaries there. This will be a special service you don’t want to miss!

We will take up a love ❤ offering to help cover their travel expense and to help their ministry that Sunday.

Everyone wants the best seat at the table. Jesus flips the whole game. He crashes a dinner party, watches the guests scramble for status and honor — and instead of playing along, he heals the one person others wanted to ignore. When someone tries to smooth things over with a casual "blessed are we all," Jesus doesn't let it slide — he tells a story about a banquet where the "important" people all say no, and the host fills the house with outcasts instead. Will you have a seat at God's Table in His Kingdom?
