Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the gift of freedom and for the blessings You have bestowed upon our nation. On this Independence Day, we remember those who have sacrificed their lives, their service, and their courage to protect the liberties we enjoy.

Grant wisdom to our leaders, integrity to those who serve in public office, and compassion to all who seek the common good. Help us to use our freedom not for selfish gain, but to love You, to serve our neighbors, and to uphold the dignity of every human person.

Bless our families, our communities, and our country. Heal our divisions, strengthen us in justice and charity, and make us instruments of Your peace.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, under her title of the Immaculate Conception, Patroness of the United States, intercede for our nation. May all the saints who have served this land pray for us, that we may remain faithful to the Gospel and always seek Your will.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Welcome Fr. Jon Miskin to Immaculate Conception

With great joy and gratitude, we welcome Fr. Jon Miskin as the new pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and School. As Fr. Jon begins his ministry among us, we invite all parishioners and school families to join together in offering him a warm and heartfelt welcome to our faith community.
To celebrate this special occasion, a Welcome Reception for Fr. Jon will be held following all Masses on the weekend of July 4–5 in Immaculata Hall. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet Fr. Jon, introduce yourself and your family, and help him feel at home in our parish.
Immaculate Conception has a long tradition of hospitality, faith, and community, and we look forward to sharing these gifts with our new pastor. Whether you are a longtime parishioner, a new member, or a school family, we encourage you to stop by, enjoy some refreshments, and spend a few moments getting to know Fr. Jon.
Please join us as we thank God for sending Fr. Jon to our parish family. Let us keep him in our prayers as he begins this new chapter of ministry, asking the Lord to bless him with wisdom, strength, and many graces as he leads and serves our parish and school community.

Thank you, Father Desam, for all you have done for Immaculate Conception Church and School. Your kindness, faith, and dedication have touched so many lives, and you will truly be missed.

The farewell dinner was a beautiful evening, and it was heartwarming to see our parish family come together to celebrate you and show just how much you are loved. We will keep you in our prayers as you return to India and pray that God continues to bless you on your journey.

Heavenly Father, you entrusted your Son Jesus, the child of Mary, to the care of Joseph, his foster father. Bless all fathers and grandfathers as they care for their families. Give them strength and wisdom, tenderness and patience, give them ability to love in a way that reflects your love. Support them in the work they have to do, protecting those who look to them, as we look to you for love and salvation. Help us to love them in a way that would bring honor to You and them. Bless and heal all those wounded by the imperfections of their fathers and grant an eternal rest to our fathers you have called from this life to yourself, through Jesus Christ Lord.
