Lakewood United Methodist Singles Class

"The Lakewood United Methodist Church Adult Singles Sunday School Class welcomes members of our church and others throughout our community. "

The class is composed of adults who are divorced, widowed, or single by choice. The class meets from 10 am until 10:50 am in room S9, which is located in the basement of the sanctuary. The class is led by Terry Horton, who has taught adult Sunday school classes for over 15 years. Classes are based on scripture, discussion oriented, and are designed to bring people closer to God and each other. Eve

Visitors are more than welcomed to come to Lakewood’s Journeys Sunday School Class during this season of Lent. You don’t have to be a Methodist or a member of any church to attend.

This Sunday we will start our special series for Lent, “Dying to Live” by Rev. James Harnish. It is a powerful book that will help all of us grow spiritually, emotionally, and closer to one another. We meet in Room S5, which is in the basement of the main sanctuary. Class is from 10-10:50, but don’t worry if you are late. All are always welcomed.

Feel free to call if you have questions. I hope to see you Sunday as we move closer to that magnificent Easter Sunday that forever changed our world 2,000 years ago!

Tomorrow our Journeys Adult Sunday School Class at Lakewood United Methodist Church in NLR will continue its study of "The Sermon on the Mount," focusing on the "Beatitudes," the first 12 verses of the 5th chapter of Matthew. What do these instructions from Jesus mean to us today?
We meet in the basement of the sanctuary, Room S 5, from 10 am to 10:50. Visitors are always welcomed! You don't have to be a Methodist to attend. It's a very discussion oriented class. No long lectures!!!

Our Journeys Sunday School Class at Lakewood United Methodist in North Little Rock will start the study of the "Sermon on the Mount" tomorrow, from Matthew, chapters 5, 6, and 7.

The Sermon on the Mount is often referred to as the "Blueprint" for how to live a Christian life as Jesus wants us to.

I hope to see you at class, 10 a.m. to 10:50, in Room S 5, in the main sanctuary's basement. Don't worry if you arrive late. You are always welcomed.

As we begin the Season of Lent, Journeys Class will be studying James Moore's book, "On the Road Again, a Faith Journey."

We have often studied books by Moore, and it's my feeling our class gains a great deal spiritually.

Easter is a wonderful time to strengthen our faith and works for our Lord. It is my hope, this book will help us do exactly that.

I hope to see you Sunday at 10 am in Room S 5. Guests are always welcomed.

She does a wonderful presentation while encouraging class participation at all times.

Great things are happening at Lakewood's Journeys Singles Sunday School Class!!!

I am thrilled that new class member Kaye Murry has volunteered to teach our class this Sunday. Her subject is "Being Grateful and Thankful." Please make every effort to attend this Sunday and bring a guest. Kaye has experience teaching adult Sunday School classes, and I am truly looking forward to hearing her first lesson for our class! See you in Room S 5, below the main sanctuary, at 10 a.m.

Besides our regular crew, visitors are always welcomed, and so are those who have attended our class a few times, but haven't been lately. Our door is always open to everyone.

AND HAPPY 8TH ANNIVERSARY TO OUR CLASS. WE FIRST GOT TOGETHER ON NOV. 28TH, 2010.

Marla, Louann, and I were there that first Sunday. Bruce and Margaret began attending shortly thereafter. Just think--that's over 400 classes!
Bruce is bringing refreshments this Sunday for the anniversary celebration.

I am truly excited about what things God has planned for our class and all of its members during the next 12 months! I think it will be our best year ever!!!

Please make Sunday School and church attendance high priorities, especially during this magically spiritual time of year. We will begin an Advent series in two weeks. If you are traveling and can't make it to Lakewood, please go to whatever church is convenient for your plans.

God is always with you, and I know He has always been with our class! Let's try to discover and follow His will during the next 12 months and for the rest of our earthly lives!

We had a great group of eight at Journeys Sunday School Class yesterday as we continued our study of " Yes Lord, I have Sinned but I have Several Excellent Excuses."

This book by Dr. James Moore is helping all of us better understand how we can grow in our Christian life spiritually and in service.

I hope you can join us Sunday in Room S 5 below the main sanctuary at 10 am. We've only covered a few chapters, and this is a study book in which you can join at any time.

Our new lesson topic begins tomorrow at 10 am in Room S 5, in the basement of the sanctuary. Dr. James Moore's book, "Yes Lord, I have Sinned, but I have Several Excellent Excuses" will touch all of us in a special way because we will readily identify with the excuses given.

Thank God that grace covers our lame excuses.

Our Journeys Singles Sunday School Class starts a new study book tomorrow, "Life Lessons from the Book of Hebrews." It's written by well-known author Max Lucado. I hope you can join us at 10 a.m. in Room S 5, below the main sanctuary building. You don't have to be a Methodist or a member of any church to attend. Feel free to dress casually. Our classes are very discussion oriented and we like to laugh a lot!

Forgiveness, talking to God, and the involvement of the Holy Spirit, are our topics in our Journeys Singles Sunday School Class tomorrow, from 10 am to 10:50 in Room S 5 below the main sanctuary at Lakewood.
