Guatemala, like many countries around the world, has been hit hard this year due to the pandemic and several tropical storms that has only further impacted already vulnerable communities. These are a few of the faces that represent families that are unable to even eat 1 meal a day.

This is the Father's heart—to see the hungry, orphan & widow provided for. We saw this great need and we couldn't tell them that Jesus loves them and not fill their bellies... What an honor to be a channel of blessing to these families each month!

Thank you for praying for our volunteers, Pastors, youth and the families that we serve in different communities throughout the city! Thank you for GIVING so that we can continue to answer the call to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Guatemala city!

Guatemala, al igual que muchos países del mundo, se ha visto muy afectada este año debido a la pandemia y varias tormentas tropicales que solo han afectado aún más a las comunidades ya vulnerables. Estas son algunas de las caras que representan a familias que no pueden ni siquiera comer 1 comida al día.

Este es el corazón del Padre: ver provisto al hambriento, al huérfano y a la viuda. Vimos esta gran necesidad y no pudimos decirles que Jesús los ama y no llenar sus estómagos ... ¡Qué honor ser un canal de bendición para estas familias cada mes!

¡Gracias por orar por nuestros voluntarios, pastores, jóvenes y las familias a las que servimos en las diferentes comunidades de la ciudad! ¡Gracias por DAR para que podamos seguir respondiendo al llamado de ser las manos y los pies de Jesús en la ciudad de Guatemala!

We don't usually post pictures of our outreaches but this little guy right here blessed us so much today that we had to share. We met this beautiful single mother and her two precious autistic sons through our food box (Boxes of Hope) ministry over the summer. The weather has turned really cold and they don't have central heat and she had expressed to us a few weeks ago how cold they were at night so today we had the privilege of blessing them with 2 space heaters to help keep them warm during these cold days. As soon as her son saw the heaters he began jumping up and down saying, "are those heaters?! Omg they are! My prayers have been answered!! My prayers have been answered! Thank you! Thank you!"—he danced with so much Joy for about a minute screaming and shouting... His gratitude moved our hearts and the ability to be a channel for God to answer his prayer is priceless!! Glory to God!! Thank you CityServe Arkansas for helping us serve families in our community!

Update from Guatemala: ASOFE Faith & Hope Guatemala
We are amazed & rejoicing as we are witnessing how the Center of Hope youth are growing in the Lord and are walking in their identity as children of God. As they step out and obey the call to manifest the glory of God in their communities we are seeing lives being changed. As a small group of our guys led by Veronica, our Zone 5 outreach coordinator, hit the streets of La Limonada to prayer walk/evangelize yesterday they met David, a young man drinking and snorting co**in in an alleyway. The Holy Spirit showed up in a mighty way and touched his heart right there on the street. Brandy, one of our youth, had the privilege to minister to him and lead him in prayer to recieve Jesus as his Lord & Savior! David no longer wants to harm himself with drugs and is excited to begin his new life with Jesus! They were also able to take David home and pray for his family! Hallelujah! Glory to God!
Please keep David & our youth in your prayers—for continued growth, boldness, passion and hunger to reach the lost & see Guatemala transformed in Jesus Name!

Estamos asombrados y regocijando al ver cómo los jóvenes del Centro de Esperanza están creciendo en el Señor y están caminando en su identidad como hijos de Dios. A medida que dan un paso al frente y obedecen el llamado de manifestar la gloria de Dios en sus comunidades, estamos viendo vidas cambiadas.
Mientras un pequeño grupo de nuestros muchachos dirigido por Verónica, nuestra coordinadora de alcance de la Zona 5, salió a las calles de La Limonada para caminar / evangelizar en oración ayer, se encontraron con David, un joven bebiendo y esnifando co***na en un callejón. El Espíritu Santo apareció de manera poderosa y tocó su corazón allí mismo en la calle. Brandy, uno de nuestros jóvenes, tuvo el privilegio de ministrarle y guiarlo en oración para recibir a Jesús como su Señor y Salvador. ¡David ya no quiere hacerse daño con las dr**as y está emocionado de comenzar su nueva vida con Jesús! También tuvieron la oportunidad de llevar a David a su casa y orar por su familia! ¡Aleluya! ¡Gloria a Dios!
Por favor, mantengan a David y a nuestros jóvenes en sus oraciones— por un crecimiento continuo, denuedo, pasión y hambre para alcanzar a los perdidos y ver a Guatemala transformada en el Nombre de Jesucristo!
