CALL TO WORSHIP SUNDAY 06/14/2026 MORNING DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER DAY 40 “ANOTHER SHALL COME”

Scripture: “If another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” John 5:43 KJV

People rejected the TRUE MESSIAH but welcomed false teachers. Listen carefully because nothing has changed. This evil world embraces; comfort over conviction, entertainment over holiness,
popularity over truth.

Spurgeon warned that false religion often attracts larger crowds because it asks less of sinners.

The true Gospel, the TRUTH, causes conviction , and still calls for repentance and faith. We are guilty, which calls for confession, repentance, and surrender. Renewal cannot happen without admitting our sin. We must become truly penitent.

John Morton

Morton’s decisive vote helped Pennsylvania support independence. His involvement with the Declaration of Independence includes several key moments: The Deadlock: In early July 1776, Pennsylvania's seven delegates were split—three in favor of independence and three against it. The Decisive Vote: Morton, initially a political moderate who hoped for reconciliation with Britain, chose to cast his vote with the pro-independence faction. This broke the tie and allowed Pennsylvania to cast an affirmative vote for separation on July 4, 1776. One faithful decision altered history.

Divine Providence: GOD often uses one faithful servant to accomplish extraordinary purposes.

SATURDAY 06/13/2026 MORNING DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER DAY 39 “THE LOVE OF GOD”

Scripture: “Ye have not the love of God in you.” John 5:42 KJV

Religion without love for GOD becomes empty ritual. The Pharisees knew tradition but rejected the Messiah. Because of rote ritual they had lost the spiritual, intimate, and direct relationship that GOD wants with you. Spiritual, and personal relationship comes when you pray, worship, praise, and surrender to GOD’S sovereignty!

A. W. Tozer often warned that true worship flows from hearts captivated by GOD Himself.

Church attendance alone cannot save. Only CHRIST transforms the heart. We are called to congregate, but the coming together means nothing if you have not prepared your heart, mind, and spirit to receive the blessing that comes from congregational worship!

Arthur Middleton

Middleton sacrificed wealth and security for conviction. True commitment always costs something. During the Revolutionary War, he fought as an officer in the local militia to defend Charleston. When the city fell to the British in 1780, he was captured as a prisoner of war and held in harsh conditions at St. Augustine, Florida, for nearly a year. After a prisoner exchange in 1781, he returned to the Continental Congress, subsequently serving in the South Carolina State Senate before retiring from politics

Divine Providence

Providence often strips away earthly comforts so hearts may seek eternal treasure.

FRIDAY 06/12/2026 MORNING DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER DAY 38 “YE WILL NOT COME”

Scripture: “And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”John 5:40 KJV

What heartbreaking words. The problem was not lack of evidence. The problem was unwilling hearts. The Way stood before them, but lies filled their hearts and spirit. The Truth stood before them, yet darkness blinded them. Life eternal was offered, yet death and separation was chosen.

John Gill writes that sinners remain lost because they refuse CHRIST, not because CHRIST refuses them.

There are many who claim to know: the Bible, the Gospel, the Cross, the Resurrection, yet refuse surrender. The Way, The Truth, and Life stands ready. The invitation remains open today. The choice is yours.

THURSDAY 06/11/2026 MORNING DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER DAY 37 “SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES”

Scripture: “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39 KJV

The religious leaders possessed Scripture but missed the SAVIOR. They knew the words but failed to know the Word made flesh.

Matthew Henry observed that the Bible is the greatest witness to CHRIST because every page ultimately points toward HIM.

The mere reading of Scripture is not enough. When you open the HOLY BIBLE is your mind, heart, and spirit ready to receive the gift that is offered. Do you approach the Throne of GOD with reverence and awe. The HOLY BIBLE is where we must meet JESUS in its pages.

The same GOD who inspired all the Books and prophecy of the Old Testament also fulfilled it in Bethlehem. The same GOD who promised redemption fulfilled it at Calvary. There are no broken promises with YAHWEH.

Abraham Clark

Clark sacrificed family security and endured hardship during the Revolution, trusting that liberty required perseverance. Two of his sons, enlistees in the Continental Army, were captured and held prisoner. He remained steadfast in his dedication to the cause.

Divine Providence

Throughout history, GOD has preserved His written Word despite persecution, war, and attempts to destroy it. Empires have fallen. The HOLY BIBLE remains.

Isaiah 40:8: “The word of our God shall stand for ever.”

WEDNESDAY 06/10/2026 MORNING DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER DAY 36 “THE FATHER HIMSELF”

Scripture: “And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me.” John 5:37 KJV

The greatest witness to JESUS is the FATHER HIMSELF. All of the gift of the HOLY Scripture points toward CHRIST. From Genesis to Revelation, YAHWEH testifies, “This is My Son.”

John Stott emphasized that Christianity stands or falls upon the identity of JESUS CHRIST.

If CHRIST is who HE claimed to be, then every person must respond. Listen there are no neutral positions regarding JESUS. Either HE is LORD,
or HE is rejected. Providence has arranged history around one central figure, JESUS CHRIST.

Kings rise and fall. Empires come and go. Nations flourish and fade. But CHRIST remains.

Divine Providence ‘The Hand Above History’

It is important as we approach America’s 250th year, let us remember, and reflect. The founders were not perfect men.
The nation is not a perfect nation. Yet throughout its formation we repeatedly observe moments where Divine Providence preserved what human wisdom alone could not sustain.

I personally believe that the United States of America was created by Divine Providence as that “City Upon the Hill”, and that this nation has a purpose ordained by the ALMIGHTY.

Ultimately, however, the greatest work of Providence is not the founding of a nation. It is the redemption of sinners through JESUS CHRIST. For this purpose we exist!

Turning Points For Today:

1. The Father testifies of the Son.
2. All Scripture points to CHRIST.
3. History ultimately centers upon JESUS.
4. Providence serves the purposes of GOD’S Kingdom.

Let Us Pray:

YAHWEH, FATHER GOD, Thank YOU LORD for YOUR sovereign hand in history and redemption.
Help us keep our eyes fixed upon JESUS CHRIST, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Forgive this nation LORD GOD, so that this nation can be a beacon that draws lost souls to the ultimate freedom, which is salvation through CHRIST JESUS. May our lives glorify YOU ABBA, and advance YOUR Kingdom always. In JESUS’ Holy Name, Amen.

TUESDAY 06/09/2026 MORNING DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER DAY 35 “THE WORKS WHICH THE FATHER HATH GIVEN ME”

Scripture: “The works which the Father hath given me to finish.”John 5:36 KJV

JESUS finished every task the FATHER gave HIM. Nothing was accidental. Nothing was forgotten. Nothing was unfinished. ALMIGHTY GOD’S plan is perfect. It takes into account every conceivable variable. Even the variable of man’s free will!

Divine Providence assures us that GOD’S purposes cannot fail. The Cross was not an interruption. It was the plan. Calvary was not defeat. It was victory.

Matthew Henry observed that every miracle performed by CHRIST testified to HIS divine mission.

Where man stumbles and falls. Where man’s plan fails at the first sign of adversity. Where he quits at the first sign of resistance, GOD’S plan never fails, never falls short, and is always right on time.

Francis Lewis

He paid a high price for rebellion: The British sailed to Whitestone, burned down his house and took his wife prisoner. Purposely mistreated, she died three years later. Lewis, who also lost much of his money during the war, died on Dec. 30, 1802. But the family politics did not. His son Morgan Lewis, who fought in the Revolution, became governor of New York.

Lewis suffered greatly during the Revolution, including the imprisonment of his wife by British forces. Yet he remained faithful to the cause.

Divine Providence ‘Suffering and Purpose’

Providence does not eliminate suffering. Often it uses suffering to accomplish greater purposes.
The Cross on Calvary itself proves this truth.

Turning Points For Today:

1. GOD always completes HIS purposes.
2. CHRIST fulfilled every mission perfectly.
3. Suffering is never wasted in GOD’S hands.
4. Providence turns trials into testimony.

LET US PRAY;

YAHWEH LORD GOD, please FATHER help us trust YOUR purposes even when trials come. ADONAI keep us faithful knowing that YOU are working all things according to YOUR will.
