We are thankful for every song, every prayer, every musician, every servant, and every moment that helped make this day special.

Today was a beautiful Sunday at Walnut Grove Ministries.

We were honored to welcome Rev. Dr. Isaac N. Hudson, Jr. and Rev. Dr. Mary Ann Coleman Hudson as they shared in worship with Bishop and First Lady Floyd and the Walnut Grove Church Family.

After service, they took a moment to thank the church for the invitation, the hospitality, and the love they felt from the moment they walked through the doors.

We are grateful they spent this special day with us, especially as they celebrated 51 years of marriage.

In case you missed it — this word is still for somebody.
This week Assistant Pastor Jeff Collins preached from Matthew 16:24, and it wasn't a comfortable message. It was an honest one: following Jesus isn't casual, and it isn't convenient. It costs something.
Pastor Collins walked through what that cost looks like in real life — in marriage, in service, in how we show up for God the other six days of the week, not just the hour and a half on Sunday.
If you've been treating your faith like a part-time commitment, this one is worth carrying into the weekend.

Following Jesus is not always convenient.

Sometimes obedience interrupts your plans. Sometimes service costs your time, your energy, your comfort, and your preference.

Pastor Jeff Collins reminded us that sacrifice is part of the life of faith. There are moments when we have to look beyond the person asking and listen for what God is requiring.

That is not always easy. But real service has always cost something.
